August 6th was a Monday. I'll never forget that because from the dusty shoulder of the I-5 South, I was getting answering machine after answering machine telling me “we're closed” and I was essentially out of luck. I was far from home with a double-nail puncture to the rear tire of my '06 Hayabusa, and it was\r
approaching 6pm on a day when many dealerships and service centers were already closed. Unfamiliar with\r
the area, I decided to make one last call before pushing my bike to the nearest motel for the night. My Iphone hinted to North County House of Motorcycles in nearby Vista, CA. The service department was closed by this time, but a helpful operator suggested I speak to the General Sales Manager.\r
Ciara was immediately sympathetic of my situation, facing the possibility of being stranded and leaving\r
a desirable machine on the side of the freeway. Even if they were unable to service the tire immediately, she offered to send a truck to pick me up so that my bike could be secured overnight. Kyle arrived shortly\r
thereafter and was extremely friendly while taking extra precaution in loading and securing my Hayabusa. I\r
could not have asked for a more professional experience.\r
The next day I was able to get an exact tire replacement from the service department's inventory, and I was back on the road. Returning in the same clothes as the previous day, grumpy, and desperately just\r
wanting to go home, the professional, friendly attitude of everyone I encountered was reassuring. I wanted to document my experience for both the management staff as a unique experience and account of stellar service, as well as a testament to anyone considering doing business with the sales or service departments. Please expect to see me when it comes time to purchase my next motorcycle, as in my book it is worth a bit\r
of travel to know you'll be taken care of.\r
Thank you for a very positive experience when it mattered most.
