Editorial review from Citysearch 11/5/2013

Consumer Beware--I contracted for a Wyoming Antelope hunt with Mr. Tom Moore. Paid in full $1695 to Mr. Moore and 2 days prior to the hunt i received a letter from Mr. Moore canceling the hunt with a written promise to repay ""you have my personal guarantee you will get all your money back"". That letter was dated 10-9-09. Multiple telephone calls with multiple promises to pay back what he owed has yielded nothing. Again, Consumer Beware. more

CONSUMER BEWARE 1/5/2011

Mr. Moore as you can see is not a professional outfitter or businessman. Actually you could not even call him an honest or loyal person to his trade. Mr. Moore took money for a big game hunt pretending to be a big game outfitter in Wyoming. He does NOT have or try to obtain the required licenses to be an outfitter. Nor will he pay you back the money that you gave him for the hunt. Coming back from a deployment from Afghanistan, this is the last thing you won't to deal with and to top it off instead of paying anyone back from my hunting party, he went on a Africian Safari Hunt. I would not recommend Mr. Moore to anyone for any service he says he will provide. I just hope that he hasn't taken anymore money and not provided services to anyone before i was able to write this review. Goodluck and God bless you on your hunting adventures just not with Tom Moore. more

Beware of Tom Moore - He took my sons money! 10/23/2010

Yes it is true and I have PROOF . My 17 year old son was looking forward to a hunt in Wyoming this month and Tom Moore said he "" lost the lease on the ranch in Wyoming and will not be able to do the hunt this fall"" . I called him many times and he will not return the money. He also ripped my uncle, husband, and brother-in-law off. This man is not running his business right. A GOOD MAN would return our money. To take a young boys money , who works very hard for it. IS NOT RIGHT of Tom Moore. more

Tom Moore Ripped Us Off Too 10/8/2010

A group of 4 hunters booked a Pronghorn Hunt for the 2009 season. After diligently paying our money ($1500 per hunter) we learned right before the hunt that he was ticketed for unlicensed guiding and was kicked out of Wyoming. We negotiated a fair settlement with a signed contract by Tom to get a portion of our money back, Tom subsequently reneged on that agreement as well. Do not do business with this man. more

Consumer beware! 8/30/2010

Beware of Tom Moore at North American taxidermy! I paid Mr Moore for a guided hunt in Wyoming scheduled for 2009. Mr Moore cancelled the hunt 3 days prior to scheduled hunt date due to being cited in Wyoming for not having an outfitters license. Mr Moore refuses to refund my money. I discovered that Mr Moore owes over 105,000 dollars to at least 40 hunters. He is a very dishonest business person. I would suggest that other outdoorsmen not support this business due to these practices. more

Bad experience 12/14/2006

I had a caped deer head that I wanted mounted. On a recommendation by a friend, I called then dropped it off Early October 2005. I was told that it would be done in late September 2006. I called in September and they said that the ""master taxidermist"" was out of town, he needed to do the final touches, and that it would be done in October. I called in October and basically the same respose was given. I called in November and was told that the tannery lost my cape and it was recently found. I was told that it would be done by the end of November. I called about 1 week into December and was told that the tannery still had the cape. I was told on several occasions that I could get another cape. I told them that I wanted the cape that I brought in (because the deer was taken on October 1st and it had short hair). I left a message with the owner to call me back because he was going to call the tannery and check the status. My message was returned. My recommendation is to go to someone else.
