Awful company. Moved into a rental last year and have had nothing but non-stop trouble from these incompetents. Garbage not taken for weeks at a time, neighbors bins put in my parking spot, so every week, so I have to get out every garbage day and move them before I can pull in. Every time I finally call and complain, they say they will take care of it. HA! Today, came home after work to my bins upside down, thrown into a snow bank with garbage all around. Neighbors bins in my parking spot...AGAIN! And every time I call, its this crazy stupid runaround, 'Oh it was a new guy', 'oh it was a replacement guy cause the regular one is on vacation'. 'Oh well, the robot arms can't put the bins upside down, its not possible'. Someone else must be driving down my alley and throwing my bins and trash around, eh?!? I live at the end of the alley, no one beyond me but the woods and I have good neighbors. Seriously, they are AWFUL. Stay away from Nordic Waste, waste of $$$$$$! more

We had the same garbage service for over 30 years. Costs kept going up; we went to the smallest garbage can we could get which saved us only a couple of bucks a month. We moved to a rural area 12 years ago the company we were using did not collect recycling; at least once a month we would load up our trunk and haul our recycling in to the nearest recycling center. We finally got tired of hauling our own recycling and started looking for a new service. Nordic Waste picks up my garbage and my recycling and has saved me over $10.00 a month. more

We liked them at first, great pricing, good service. We then began having problems with them and they would give no response. We had a broken lid on the bin, called 3 times to have it replaced and it never was replaced. Canceled service a month ago and they still have not picked up the container. Once the honeymoon period is over they are horrible! Best at spending more money for better service! more

I forgot to bring my garbage to the curb and it really bothered me all day at work as the next week was Thanksgiving and I new I would need an empty can. Well to my surprise when I got home from work, not only were the cans brought to the curb and emptied but the garbage one was brought back up to the house. GREAT JOB GUYS!!! You made my week. Thank you, thank you. Great price for fantastic service. Pros: awsome company and workers more

I am an emplyee of Nordic Waste. I am the guy that picks up your recycling- the can with the copper lid- that guy who comes and empties that can ,is me. I read these reviews and honestly some of them make me feel guilty. I do not mean to miss a paying customer on my weekly route- Ever! You are the reason I have a good job in the first place and no disrespect is meant whatsoever. As a driver for Nordic it's hard for me not to be biased, but let me say I left a fantastic company to work for Nordic and I am proud of that simply because of what a service Nordic attempts to offer this community. As a one year veteran of this company, I have just mastered my weekly residential routes. So if I am still at this point dissapointing a customer in their expectations- I would appreciate your constructive critisism, yet please know at any rate, I am commited to doing my job to the best of my abilities to better represent this wonderful company. My focus now is to be sure that all of your needs are met, including any extra material left out (that doesn't fit in the can) or any messes made by acts of nature or animals as I deal with that myself at home (racoons!!) Please do your part as a customer of Nordic and let me know how I can improve your experience as one of our valued customers. Leave me a note on this site or your recycle container and I promise to listen to your concerns and see what I can do to help- Regardless of the situation. ( But please- no glass bottles on top of your recycle cart!- they break all over) And to any responder whom has a strange affliction to Bill Bailey- you are on your own with that one. Bill is an upstanding, hilarious friend, and I am sorry you never got to know that. Thanks again to our loyal customers! Pros: Great service- VERY RELIABLE Cons: None- No way more

I've had their service for about 4 years or so now, and I just love the customer service I get. I just checked rates today, to see what other companies are charging, and as mentioned by other reviewers, Waste Mgt is more - $4/mo more! And Hartel's is a little bit more too, though I don't know if the price listed is before or after taxes... Pros: Cheapest rates, timely service Cons: none that I can think of more

I am writing in response to mike whoever you are, maybe you should take your personal jealous vendetta against the company elsewhere! Do you ever think who may read these? It is obvious that you have personal issues with them because this is meant to rate the company not the people. Bill Bailey is my father, and he is a great man, if it wasn't for him you wouldn't see their garbage cans everywhere, which is a good sign of their going under right? thats funny. Everyone can tell what a mature person you are now after your little whiney letter. Don't you ever talk about my father like that again, when you know nothing! People are not perfect, as i can tell you are not, so think about that before you go slamming people for no reason. If you have an issue with a person take it up with them! Pros: great services at great prices! Cons: there are none! more

I have nothing but praise for this company. I began service with Nordic last summer after becoming disenchanted with Waste Management due to their inability to consistently pick up my garbage, or provide adequate customer service. In contrast to what the previous reviewer stated, every-time I have called Nordic I have either talked with a person, or when I have left messages, I specifically stated what I needed and they did it in a timely manner. I would highly recommend this garbage service over waste management, they are much cheaper and are much easier to talk to. Pros: Less expensive, local, easy to contact more
