Live in a somewhat ""high end"" community in Greenville. Norcon will only do the bare minimum...pool, light and street maintenance. Many if not the majority of homeowners break the covenants, they paint their house, park their 3 extra cars on the street blocking the road, have crazy garden ornaments, etc... and nothing is ever done to enforce the community guidelines that we all agreed to when buying the property. So $300K+ houses all start to look like a bunch of row houses where nobody cares and the community areas, tot lot, pool are messy, wasp nests in kiddie play area...the list goes on and on and on. I feel ridiculous for paying $550 a year in homeowner's association dues when they do barely anything other than write checks to their favorite pool, lawn and street cleaner companies and those companies don't even do their jobs correctly!!!! I hope the owner and worker's at Norcon's neigbhorhoods look as crappy as mine. I hope we can sell someday to someone before the neighborhood gets too bad. more

Nor Con - You Get What You Pay For 2/6/2012

Nor Con managed the condos at Northgate Trace when I owed property there. BAD Choice. Then Meadowbrooke HOA decided to go with a property management company. I told the board members that Meadowbrooke needed to pay more and get a better property management co. than Nor Con. due to my previous experience with them. However, the board went with the cheapest price around, and that, like most things in life...well, what can I say? You get what you pay for. The next door property is rental and the renters TIE their dog to either a tree outside OR tether the dog inside of the garage and the dog howls all of the time. The renters have placed a WINDOW air conditioning unit in the garage with a nice long exterior extension cord dangling from the window. This is also against the HOA regulations. Then there is the matter of the utility trailer that has been parked in the back of the same property, laden with debris, for months...but that is ok, since Nor Con stated no one can see if from the street view. Um, yes you can see it from the street and plus I get to look at the Coal Miner's Daughter property when I am outside working in my yard. Did I mention the ABOVE GROUND swimming pool the same folks had set up on wooden pallets for the duration of last summer when AG pools are forbidden in our neighborhood? Ah, the list goes on, like the folks around the corner who have an extra car and park it in on the grass--it has been parked there so long that grass is growing to the top of the bumper... If Nor Con checked on the property ""once a month"" like they CLAIM they do, don't you think someone would observe all of this? Like I said, you get what you pay for. And our HOA does nothing but have the property owners pay HOA dues for this ""property management company"" to write a few checks and ignore any concerns. Nice. If you are looking to buy property in Meadowbrooke, just look for the neighborhood that used to be beautiful--until Nor Con took over as the property management co and allowed the Beverly Hillbillies to install their above ground cement ponds, outside sheds, and dog runs. The only thing missing Jethro and Ellie Mae at this point--and Loretta Lynn. more

Nor Con HOA 7/1/2011

One year ago, I bought an Adams Home at Savannah Point in Simpsonville. The home is ok, of course you can get the same home for less now. The huge disappointment of my experience at Savannah Point is NOR-Con Property Management. They are the HOA! Not sure what the H stands for? But, make no mistake; there is absolutely NO representation from one single Homeowner/property owner at Savannah Point unless it would be one who complains. Yorktown Condos has gone down because of Norcom 2/22/2011

We have lived at Yorktown for years. The fact is it used to be a wonderful community, now it has become ""The Hood"" since Norcon has taken over as property management. Norcon has so many places to manage they can't do any of them well. The fact is I have never heard anyone have anything good to say about Norcon except for our HOA president, who is a landlord and does not live here. He lives in a fancy house somewhere while he lets our place turn into a low rent community for his own profits. When problems are reported to Norcon, we get a ""We will send them a letter"". The letter means nothing. Nothing is done. The druggies, and creeps are taking over as the property has cracked pavement everywhere, broken curbs, parking spaces one can't read the numbers on, and high crime. Stay away from anything Norcon manages. They are useless and will just take your money and give very little service for it. more
