I want to take a moment to commend Robert (owner) for running such a wonderful place of business full of individuals who truly care about every event that takes place at their venue. My sister's wedding was at Noor this past Friday (4/4) and our experience at Noor was fantastic! From Barbara to the entire wait staff and kitchen, the team was phenomenal and we could not have asked for anything more from anyone of them on Friday. Everyone was on point the entire night!\r Especially Amin…he was amazing to work with! His willingness and flexibility to meet our needs and last minute issues was incredible. He truly made Friday night unforgettable for Maral and Kahlen, and helped me remain at ease throughout the evening knowing that I had him and a reliable team to fall back on!\r I have worked with many wedding venues and I can say with all honesty that this was the best experience I have had. Great job on maintaining such quality during what tends to be rather stressful events!\r Thanks again and I hope to be able to celebrate many more events with your team!\r more

A place that can be rented out for special events. They have a great atmosphere with dim lighting and a great setting upstairs. I had my high school te union held here. The food however was not that great. It lacked a lot of seasoning. more

I just had my wedding reception at Noor and it was amazing. The venue was beautiful and the staff was amazing! I had quite a wild party and their staff was great at dealing with any special quests and any clean up! Everything was very insync and the food was awesome. I highly highly recommend this venue for any event. I had compared several other local venues and I found Noor suprisingly resonably priced as well, especially for the environment and service you will get. I wanted to give a special thanks to their staff members Robert (owner), Amin and Barbara for helping make my night perfect! more

I plan dozens of events a year, from small business functions, to large charitable events, and even weddings. It's RARE to find a venue like Noor Ballroom. In my humble opinion, what makes Noor better than your average venue is not the absolutely delicious food, it's not the amazingly beautiful venue, it's not even the ridiculously reasonable prices. No, all those things are icing on the cake, but what makes this particular venue stand out in a sea of places with tasty food, ambience, and comparable prices is the SERVICE. \r \r I threw a big charitable Halloween Ball at the Ella Ballroom last night for 200 guests. Robert Shahnazarian was a dream to work with from start to finish. He made the process so simple, from our first phone call, to the venue walk-though, to the menu planning, and all the way through leading up to the day of the event. He listened to my needs, worked within my budget, followed up promptly, gave me great insight and ideas to enhance our event, and he did everything effortlessly and efficiently. He knows exactly what he's doing, and that takes away a lot of the stress of planning a large event. \r \r On the day of the event, the on-site manager did a great job seeing to our needs, the staff were professional and efficient, and they rolled with all of the punches (helped us with a stand for our step & repeat banner when our stand wasn't the right type, moved furniture around to accommodate the needs of our vendor sponsors, did a great job passing the appetizers and tending the bar, etc.) Robert even dropped in to say hello and make sure everything was running smoothly, and then sent me a follow-up email in the morning to ensure that I was happy with how everything came together.\r \r I would recommend this venue without a shadow of a doubt. I will look to them for future venue needs, and will refer them to friends, clients, and family. They have my full stamp of approval. THANK YOU for helping to make my event a successful one! more

I am part of a nonprofit organization and we held our Mother's Day Luncheon in the Ella Ballroom. Everything from the venue tour to the actual event went flawlessly.\r \r To begin the process, Robert and I e-mailed back a forth a few times, just so I can have an idea of what exactly we could have for the budget we had for the event. He sent me the proposal and I quickly realized that there's no other place where we could get as much as we were getting for the money we were paying...and I've done A LOT of research.\r \r A few of the ladies in the committee and I went for a site tour and immediately fell in love with the elegance, ambiance, and class of the space. We liked that we were able to totally customize the space with our linen colors (napkins and table cloths) and even the LED ambient lighting color!\r \r After booking the venue for our event, I bugged Robert several times with silly questions and he was always quick to get back to me. He was very accommodating to our requests and last minute changes. \r \r Fastforward to the day of the event......\r \r When we walked in to start setting up nearly an hour before our event, the venue already looked so beautiful with the linens and the lighting. The event managers were super helpful in assisting with our set up and answering all our questions. \r \r FOOD: We chose two passed hors d'oeuvres to be served during our cocktail hour and we could not stop eating them. They were truly exceptional. We had chicken satay with a sesame peanut sauce (yum!) and wild mushroom roulades with oven-dried tomato aioli (DROOOOL!). Our plated lunch consisted of a refreshing mixed green salad with a raspberry vinaigrette. The dressing was sooooo yummy and I liked that they didn't dress the salad before they brought it out. Everything was crisp and fresh. \r \r Our second course was a duet of chicken breast with a wild mushroom champagne cream sauce (THE SAUCE!!) and grilled salmon with a citrus beurre blanc. That salmon was some of the best salmon I've ever had. The proteins were accompanied by herb roasted red potatoes and baby summer squash. The dessert. I'm dreaming about their cheesecake. We opted to have several flavors of their cheesecake served family style. SO GOOOOOOD! The white chocolate salted caramel...oh my. I can eat a GIANT slice of that deliciousness. And the oreo....alksdjfl;aksdjf;laj.\r \r Everyone raved about the food and several people said that this was our best event in our 11 years of hosting this Mother's Day Luncheon. The AV equipment worked beautifully. We had a singer, a DJ, a powerpoint presentation, and a speaker. Everything in the ballroom was set-up to handle our needs perfectly.\r \r Every last detail was perfect. We had vendors attending our event so Noor set up tables with linens for them so everything would look uniform and beautiful. Our theme was Breakfast at Tiffany's so Robert set up the movie to play in the background of our event. Every lady that walked in was given a glass of champagne to start the event. Everything was just SO elegant and beautiful.\r \r The staff was extremely friendly. The waiters, waitresses, and the bartenders helped make our event really awesome. I personally thanked as many as I could before I left.\r \r I highly recommend having an event here. Everything was beautiful and the staff were amazing. I can't wait to host another event at Noor! more

NOOR is by far the best resturant for any type of event. The food is delicious, the service is EXCELLENT, the staff is wonderful and the overall experience is amazing. The prices are great!! Nora was absolutely amazing & truly instrumental in the success of our party. The way she helped us customize the menu, the suggestions, & the way she executed all the details of the party was absolutely amazing. She had done such an incredible job with the entire event that I truly felt I had a party planner. This was my first party at a venue such as Noor-Ella ballroom. We are accustomed to having our events at 5 star hotels because we know that both quality & service will not be comprised. I am happy to say that with Nora's involvement Noor was nothing short of a 5 star hotel venue. Through out the evening all of my 70 guests were complimenting me on the venue. The comments were all echoing about the elegance of the ballroom, the amazing food & the exceptional service. It was everyone's first time at Noor but it will definitely not be their last since some were already planning their next party at Noor, Your staff was absolutely amazing. The waiters, bartender & the security guard were all so professional that I truly felt, I had nothing to worry about & that my guests were being taken care of & I can enjoy the party. As for your evening management staff, David & Amir, they were both absolutely amazing. From the moment I walked into the venue to over see the set up 'til we left the facility at 1am David was there attending to all our needs. He made sure everything was to my liking & that everything was going as planned. I really enjoyed working with him, he was extremely gracious, professional & very humble. He is truly an asset to Noor's team. As for Amir, he was on top of things. He knew everything that was going on with each table & making sure that all the guests were taken care of on timely fashion. He was also kind enough to remind of time lines & details that I hadn't foreseen. more

Noor restaurant :( Do not reserve Noor for any events, I do not recommend this place to anyone unless if you wanna go home depressed and stressed. I've been to thousands of restaurants on weddings, engagements, surprise parties, christening and so on, never came across such unprofessional, organized and stupid place like Noor. The place was a hot mess waiters had no clue how to serve, securities were just hanging around/chilling instead of watching everything. Food was not uneatable. Can not find words to explain how awful everything was :( DO NOT WAIST YOU MONEY more

So sorry to see the nice restaurant and bar closed. It was a gorgeous place with good food, nice people, a fun bar and the best patio around. Has reopened in an interior space down-scaling to compete on a level with Bodega -- metal tables anchored to the concrete in the walkway next to the gym. Sad to see another closing in the Paseo. more

I held a family event for about 30 people here and everything was just perfect. The staff was so great to work with. Everyone was so kind and professional. The owners are wonderful and really did their best to accommodate my requests. It is amazing to see what they did with that venue. This is really the premier event space in Pasadena now. The food was excellent as well. All my guests commented on the yummy food and gorgeous space. I definitely recommend Noor for any event - whether large or small. I plan a lot of events in my line of work, and I will most definitely be using them again. They are also open regularly for dinner and happy hour. Check it out. It is a must see! more

I went to Noor with two friends after work and thoroughly enjoyed the food at drinks. We had the hummus platter, salmon with potatoes, crab cakes, and beef luleh. Everything was amazing and the service was outstanding. The drinks were reasonably priced (I was told that they are starting Happy Hour with jazz at the end of January). The location is a relief from all the commotion and sports bars in Old Pasadena and provides a refreshing alternative for us locals. It used to be the Pasadena Jazz Institute so bringing back jazz will be nice. more

We discovered Noor by word-of-mouth, the best and most trusted method for restaurant finds. Confident in our information, we took a friend for a birthday surprise weekend, two-hours away from home. What a treat our night at Noor was! more

I live in the Terraces in Pasadena and am so happy to see a cool new bar in the Paseo Colorado. Located right next to Bodega, they have a really friendly staff, good menu and amazing mixology drinks (check out the Pink Sombrero and Alexander the Grape). The bar is attached to an event space and the staff says that they are going to have live jazz and dj nights starting next year. The ambiance is warm and inviting. The staff is friendly and the food is tasty. What's even better is they have valet right on Colorado Blvd. Will definitely become a regular. more

Don't be fooled by their atmosphere, this place is just plain filthy. There was hair in our food and the glasses they brought us has lipstick stains on them... possibly from the event the night before. The restrooms were just as filthy, and uncared for. Clearly the management is new but this unacceptable for providing such terrible service. Save your money and book your event somewhere else... more
