Noll Veterinary Hospital

My dog presented with intractable diarrhea and muscle loss. Noll diagnosed EPI without any tests. There is a specific blood test that takes ~3 days, but he didn't tell me about this option. He gave us digestive enzymes and said if the diarrhea went away, that confirmed the dx. Bull. EPI is hard to stabilize and it was the wrong dose anyway! My dog got worse of course because he didn't even have EPI. We went back and he PUSHED euthanasia. WTF? He hadn't done one single test! He gave us steroids (dose way too low for my dog) and said if they didn't work, there is nothing that could be done. He mentioned tests a specialist could do but told us prices four to five times higher than they actually are to make us think we could not afford to help our dog. I also questioned giving steroids without checking for lymphoma first because doing that will make the lymphoma impossible to get into remission. I took my dog, Halo, to this vet on a Tuesday afternoon due to him vomiting and having diarreha. I thought the cause may have been from stuffing from a toy he chewed on. The doctor stated that he did not believe it to be parvo and gave Halo two shots and some pills for his vomiting - no blood tests given. The next day (Wednesday) Halo seemed to be fine - back to his old self. Halo began getting worse on Thursday. I called the vets office and described the symtoms. I was given an appointment for the next day (Friday) at 1:45pm. By that time Halo was in fairly bad shape. The doctor again stated that he did not suspect parvo. He said that I should leave Halo in his care. I did. Later that afternoon, my wife received a message that Halo was responding to the treatment and that they finally diagnosed him with parvo. Dr Noll is the most caring vet I have ever been to. He takes the time to explain everything they are doing and why it is being done. His office carries a wide variety of prescription food for dogs and cats. His staff is also very knowledgeable and helpful. Would recommend to anyone looking for a veterinarian. more
