Best

A nice restaurant in Nashville, my cousin recommend this to me. I really love their foods so much.

Worst

I'm from New Orleans, so when I saw that a NO-Themed restaurant opened right down the street from my school I was pumped. Big mistake. Cajun cuisine is built on two foundations:...

Good deserts 4/21/2007

I LOVE THE FLAN WITH DULCE DE LECHE IS GREAT!! AND THE APETIZERS HAS BETTER TASTE THAN THE ENTREE, AND IS A LOT CHEAPER YOU SHOULD TRY THEM Pros: GREAT DESERTS Cons: NOT A LOT OF VARIATY TO CHOOSE more

Get Your Own! 4/20/2007

Chef Alexia stole everything from someone else. The name, every cajun/creole menu item. I don't know for sure, but she probably stole the latin menu items as well. Please try to find a Patrick's menu and you tell me. It's almost a carbon copy. Has Chef Alexia been to Louisiana? more

Great History & a Meal from Chef Alexia 4/18/2007

Our restaurant hopping days are over since discovering Nola?s in late January of this year. Now, on our family nights instead of deciding which direction to head towards we start brainstorming which item from the well-known Nola?s menu we will be delighting ourselves in. It is always varied and taste bud satisfying, whether you pick steak, pasta, or seafood. I could keep writing about their menu, but then you?d miss out on the opportunity to read about the great atmosphere that is found there. We really feel like family when we see our lifetime friends (ok, so we just met them this year) Alexia and Javier. We have our favorite table, which we just keep adding chairs to when we see other regulars come in. Our daughter, who is a very active 3 year old will eagerly sit in her car seat as we make our bi-weekly hour trip to Nola?s. Maybe today Kendrick will be there and the two of them can play together. Come try Nola?s and join us: The Non-Hoppers. Pros: Noquis/Gnocchi every 29th of the month, Bring your own wine, Excellent Menu, Read above Cons: Far from us (but close for many) more

Great, great place. Very friendly environment and great food, at a reasonable price. 4/13/2007

Great, great place. Very friendly environment and great food, at a reasonable price. Pros: Chivito, friendly ambience, chivito, reasonable prices. Did I mention chivito? Cons: Closed on Sundays more

There is not a day I don't think how do I get my hands on something at Nola's...what to get is the hardest decision. 4/13/2007

When I first ate Nola's food, I didn't know what I was getting myself into. I had a cold, hadn't tasted a thing in days, and was afraid to try a new thing. The first burst of flavors with my first bite of gumbo changed my world. Usually, food is dulled down, lacks layers of flavors, and is, well, not what should be expected. Latin and Cajun food should have it all, flavor, spice, layers of heat, excitement, Nola's food has it all. Since my first encounter, I have tried more and more and still can't pick a favorite. Everything has been excellent. Pros: Too many to list... Cons: haven't found one yet. more

A refreshing new alternative to the typical Nashville dining experience. It is excellent! 4/12/2007

Nola's is a wonderful place to eat. It offers a unique and fresh dining experience to the Nashville restaurant scene. The Uruguayan / South American cuisine is spectacular! The New Orleans Cajun food is excellent! The atmosphere is inviting, and the hospitality is great! Pros: great food, friendly service, adequate parking, great price, great location more

GREAT CAJUN AND SOUTHAMERICAN 4/10/2007

I've been to Nola's since they opened and I think is great. Pros: parking in rear Cons: need a better sign more

I STILL WANT TO KNOW 4/9/2007

I still want to know if this great owner has ever been to Louisiana? How does she know these recipe's? Again, the menu sure does seem familiar. I see all of these good reviews, but the word I here on the street is that the food doesn't have it. Is someone in the family writing all of this stuff? more

Excellent Food, Great Prices, Nice People 2/23/2007

We went on a Friday night - at 7pm there were about 4 parties, by 8pm there were about 12 parties (this place is catching on). Excellent grilled meats South American style. Great home tasting Crawfish Etoufee. The only place I have seen a grilled romaine wedge salad other than the northeast (it's amazing). The ravioli is the signature vegetarian entree and it was very very good as well. more
