Awesome place to live 8/29/2010

Don't listen to the reviewers below. These are some of the classless drunkards that the management is trying to weed out. I've lived in my fair share of various apartment communities and Ninety Degrees has been my best experience by far. PRO's Friendly community Management is fairly stable, does a pretty good job Security is top-notch and my girlfriend has never had a reason to fear for her safety here No bugs/roaches otherwise, I hate infestations and this place has been a blessing. Apartments can be a little small, just depends how big you're looking. Everything is pretty new, the amenities are also great. In short, this is one of the few communities that seems to be holding up. The fact that they're enforcing a curfew is even better, especially if you're a working professional who appreciates that people aren't out at all hours of the night, screaming in drunken fits. For those who want to hang out at the pool all night, have a cook-out at midnight, just be a general nuisance(I'm looking at you 30k millionaires), there's plenty of places you guys can crap up. Go check out the places at Kierland or maybe The Regents, there's even some nearby places such as Desert Club where you can be as trashy and obnoxious as you want. Either that or you know, buy a house if you've got the social standards of a leper. For all those who want a place to call home, where you'll feel comfortable, safe, with a lot of amenities, this is definitely one that I give two thumbs up. Would be better if the apartments were a little big larger but there's always tradeoff's, right? more

Extremely Disappointed 7/20/2010

When I first moved in to Ninety Degrees I could not have been happier. The apartments are new and nice and the location is great. Well I have been there for nearly 2 months now and all that changed real fast. I was originally told the complex was dog friendly and that the pool was available 24 hours - both major selling points for me. My boyfriend and I moved in to a unit right near the pool. We were reminded when we looked at it that it might be a bit noisy sometimes but it didn't matter to us, we were happy about the chance to meet new friends, socialize and use the spa and pool whenever we would like. The management has now hired a new security company to enforce our ""curfew"" of 11 p.m. and yes that applies to the weekends too! This was never discussed with us even when we requested meetings to talk about the sudden change to the ""24-hour amenities."" Even if there is not a single noise complaint we are forced to stay in our apartments...and the pool is locked. They frequently forget to unlock it in the morning which is just another slap in the face. If you are outside by yourself (even walking the dog) be prepared to be harassed by these guards. They not only carry guns but they threaten to use them on tenants dogs. I was personally talked to like a child by the security guard who intimidated me and made me feel extremely uncomfortable. He not only harassed me but made it clear that we are ""all replaceable"" and that the apartment managers don't give a crap about their tenants. Eviction notices are handed out if anyone speaks up and tries to have this whole thing settled. I am sick of being treated like a child who is misbehaving. I am an adult and I pay good money to live in my apartment and if I want to sit outside quietly after 11 p.m. I feel I have the right to do that without being harassed or threatened. Long story short: not a good place to live if you expect to be treated like an adult and enjoy staying up past 11 at any point during the week or weekend. Cons: Being treated horribly more

GUNS: Armed security guard threatens to shoot my dog 7/12/2010

I once loved living here. The apartments are very nice a little cramped for space, but nice. Most of my neighbors are awesome! We all hang out in the evening while cooking dinner and enjoying a glass of wine. BUT recently we've been given a ""curfew"" so the pool and ramada/grills have been closed down from 11pm-6am. New security however seems to think it's 10pm till when ever the hell they feel like getting around to unlocking the pool. I have had to hop the fence twice now to use the pool, the last time was on the 4th of July, kind of a major holiday for relaxing by the pool and having a BBQ with friends. Luckily I have not sustained any injuries yet trying to get in and out of the ""24 hour pool"" It has now gotten to the point where we are also being harassed by the rent-a-cop security company that Ninety degrees has employed. This past weekend my husband got home late, and was cooking his dinner on the grill when security called the cops on him for ""disturbing the peace"" cause he refused to stop cooking his dinner. Obviously this was a waste of Phoenix PDs time cause clearly no laws were being broken. This evening 15 minutes before our ""curfew"" of 11pm while my husband and I, and a few other residents were finishing up dinner we were approached by a security man who asked for our first and last names, height, weight, ethnicity, sex, and apartment number. We gave him our names and told him we felt that the other information was inappropriate to share. We voiced our opinions on the whole situation and explained our concerns that we have and of how rude his staff has been. Turns out he was RECORDING everything, trying to set us up. At 11 we all went home to our apartments. My husband took our dog out to go to the bathroom before bed, security was standing there with his hands on his hips in a somewhat defensive stance. My dog is protective like most dogs are of their owners when around unfamiliar people so he barked. The security guard said ""THATS WHAT THE GUNS FOR DOG, IN CASE ONE GETS OUT OF CONTROL AND I NEED TO KILL HIM"" to my dog as my husband was holding his leash. This man threatened to KILL my dog. My medical dog. So no, I do not recommend living here. Ever. And cheers to Ninety Degrees.....we will NOT be resigning our lease. Pros: beautiful place to live, great people Cons: Security, Rules, drug use, harassment, unsafe more
