Nines Restaurant At Trilogy

The Nines Restaurant is the best restaurant in the Rio Vista area; the reviews I've read on this site are unfair. This last review put it over the edge. I like this restaurant the food is out standing the Fish and Chips have been changed and are outstanding The BEST IN the AREA. The residents are lucky to have such a wonderful restaurant in their own backyard, the management and staff are generous and pleasant, my experience with Bob has been outstanding he has always been accommodating,and greets a lot of the regulars by name. this restaurant in my book is a class act that gets a bad rap, from those who compare the restaurant to Red Lobster, Olive Garden, TGIF there is none, these restaurants are in a different class they are you?re everyday K-mart blue light special to compare Nines is beyond comprehension it like apples to oranges. My recommendation for anyone who thinks that the Nines is so bad why would you bother to go. There is a saying that goes, if you can?t say anything nice , Don?t say anything at all! I mean really if you don't like it why go there are a lot of us who happen to like the nines, and the staff. Bob has done a wonderful job in developng the restaurant and he continues to move the restaurant in the right direction , Great Job Bob. I have given this restaurant several opportunities to improve. This is a beautiful restaurant on the golf course, lovely furnishings, comfortable bar and beautiful views. I suggest you have a glass of wine, or beer (mixed drinks are ""?"" asked for martini they didn't have vermouth )and go home and eat. Much better food / service at Red Lobster, Olive Garden, TGIF. I have eaten at the Nines at least 8 times in the last two months lunch, dinner and buffet (father's day) all meals have been very bad. Fish and chips, an easy dish -- terrible, hard small bits of fish and cold fries, steak--over cooked not impressive the trout was interesting but it was served cold so I had to eat quickly. The Father's Day Buffet was a disaster. My family arrived at 2:30 p.m. and the barbequed pork and chicken was dried out from sitting in the warmers. The salad bar had shredded lettuce ""only"" the fresh fruit platter was acceptable but the tray stayed half empty. The eggs and bacon where okay, but for a $30 buffet eating breakfast only was a bit expensive. There were only about 8 diners when I arrived so I guess every one else has already given up on this establishment. Service is another matter....the waitress we had (on three dining occasions) acted as if she was doing hard labor in a prison camp, never a smile... she never returned to ask if we need any thing else, I believe she is the assistant manger. On two occasions we had good waiters, but they couldn't over come the bad food. I must acknowledge I received many apologies for bad food from the manager (Bob) but no improvements. You can stick a fork in me I am done with the Nines at Rio Vista Nines. I don't know why the Nines keeps missing the mark..it is a lovely venue more

Went to Nines with our family for Easter Brunch. Eleven in all. What a fantastic spread. The seafood was fresh, the entrees were delicious. There were stations for omelets, crapes, and hand carved meats.. I especially liked the Eggs Benedict with salmon. Staff was polite, and ""Johnny on the spot"". Our server, Haley, was great, and Robert, the manager, was very professional and accommodating. Very friendly atmosphere. All of my family really enjoyed themselves. The golf course setting was fantastic. more

I enjoy golf and found a great golf course in Rio Vista, as well we found a great restaurant. After a round of golf several of us have gone in for lunch, a few weeks ago I stop in for lunch and was greeted by the server, she told me about the special for the day and about a new menu, call the 9 for 9. The value and price is well worth checking out the Nines Bar & Grill, they have a full bar and the staff has always been friendly. When it gets busy the down fall is the noise level, you get a bunch of guys in there after a game and it can get loud. All in all I would recommend this restaurant it one of the best in the Rio Vista area. Pros: Very nice setting and view of golf course Cons: Bar area loud can't hear sometimes more

Last night I ate with a group of friends at Nines; it was the worst dining experience I have ever had in my life. The waitress ignored us for 10 or 15 minutes, while we were dying of thirst for a bar beverage; my friend finally caught her eye (she was merrily chatting away with some people at another table) she indicated she would be over to take our drinks order and never showed up. Another server finally took our drinks order. The first server, Karen, took our dinner orders. She messed up the soup orders, one of our party finally got her french onion soup about the time we were half way thru our entrees. Karen totally messed up all the checks for dinner, couldnt remember what entrees anyone had, and kept chatting away about some boat she lives on. Pros: A pretty setting, with nice views Cons: Terrible service, abominable food more
