HUH? I don't think the last reviewer ate at Nida's. I've eaten there many times. Her sushi isn't bland. In fact, it's some of best and freshest in the city (Restaurant Japan is king & Nida is queen). I've been into sushi over 20 years, consult/travel for a living, and dine in cities including NYC, Phil, Balt, DC, LA, SF, & Seattle... in Japan, China, Thai, Viet & most of Europe too. North Market is one of the most interesting places to eat, ANYWHERE. Where else can you sit at a quaint, walk-up sushi bar under a 35 ft beamed ceiling? It's an intimate setting with a bustling back-drop. As a public market, North Market stands out... (well, Pike Street's hard to beat). Try Nida's, you'll be glad you did. After a roll or two, or some sashimi, try the pad thai or curry.
Pros: unique atmosphere, freshest fish, great service
Cons: small bar, limited hours
