Very clean 5/3/2011

Motel is very basic but very clean. Room was newly painted with new rug. Comfortable bed but tiny pillows. Bathroom was fine but bring your own shampoo, etc. Towels were also very small. Room had queen-size bed, table, two chairs, small TV and a desk. Desk clerk very friendly and quick check-in. Called on Saturday and was able to get a last minute reservation for that night at a good rate. Cheaper than the Sleep Inn which is across the road. Landscape was very well kept and large L-shaped pool looked very clean. 12 minutes from Mohegan Sun and less than 30 minutes to Foxwoods. Only complaint was that a tractor trailor with motor running right outside our room woke us up at 7:30 A.M more

Good Value 4/26/2011

It seems to be relatively new, is in very good condition, is conveniently located near I-95, and we were very pleased with it. Our room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the shower worked well. It's a no-frills place (bring your own hair dryer and shampoo) but it's a very efficient, well-run place, and the staff members were very nice. It's a very good value, overall. 0 more

Friendly and Attentive 4/20/2011

didn't expect too much from a budget motel up-front, chose it for its convenient location along our route witih late arrival and early departure. Overall, very friendly and attentive service at reception (even recognized a birthday in the group). The only real disappointment was the bad smell in the room when we opened the door (room was very clean otherwise). Keeping the door open for half an hour helped a bit, and we put up with it as other rooms were taken. Quiet despite proximity to I-95. outside pool. more

Great Motel 4/5/2011

I could not believe someone wrote a bad review about this place! My husband and I have been going to this Motel for over 4 years. Our experience is always a great one. The staff is courteous and the pool is great. The rooms are comfortable and clean and quite roomy. Its not the ritz-carlton, but for a chain motel, its quite nice. The rooms are all brand new and have nice decor. They need to improve their housekeeping, but the rooms overall are usually quite clean. We have never had a problem here. I guess if your courteous, you get courtesy in return. The pool is huge and very well kept. (except one time they had a filter problem, but that was cleared up quickly). I recommend this motel to everyone! Also, for the price, you cannot go wrong!!!! more

Amazing Price 3/30/2011

We stayed here for a few days before our wedding. The location was perfect for us, since it's close to where most of our family lives, but for visitors from out of the area it would also be perfect, since it's close to my favorite childhood beach, Rocky Neck, and the lovely village of Niantic. We stayed at the Motel 6 because we were getting married and wanted to save our cash for our wedding and honeymoon. Our room was clean, my only complaints are that there was a cigarette burn in our comforter and our blanket looked like it had seen better days. The room was also very small and the bed was a bit uncomfortable. However, the room was clean, no bugs, etc, and the price was amazing. I think we paid $55 each night, while every other hotel in the area was going for a lot more. If you are on a tight budget, I would recommend this hotel. more

Fantastic service!! 3/21/2011

This service is fantastic! I have used this service many, many times and only had an issue once! My family has gotten rooms for as low as $25 before on a 3 star hotel! We have been fortunate and very lucky in our bids at times. Overall, I would say that this service helps moderate income families stay at some great places for cheap! Fun to use and great for savings. more

The staff made everything very accomodating 1/5/2011

Very large, clean rooms, some with balconies. Unfortunately, the attached restaurant had shut down and there were few restaurants nearby. They are currently renovating, so some things need updating. No elevators, but built on a hill, so no need to climb stairs. Very accommodating staff. more

Other than the noisy A/C, a very pleasant stay 12/22/2010

The wall mounted air conditioning/heater unit is very noisy when in use.The staff is very helpful, the front door leading to the building needs a buzzer lock, fix or replace air conditioning/heater unit if possible. more

Very cheap prices and it was a good stay 12/16/2010

My husband and I spent the night there in December 2004. I took him to mohegan sun for his birthday. It was a nice clean hotel, and the staff that we did see was friendly. It was a short distance to the casino. We would definitely stay there again. The price was also right. more

I never had such great service 12/8/2010

I liked the large room.Never had such great service. I understand that they are redoing the motel and will soon have a restaurant. Can't wait to see it completed. It is also dog friendly with a great courtyard fenced in. All the best to you! :) more
