ER staffed belittled and demeaned me 6/15/2014

I went to the ER at Mercy today with severe symptoms from a spinal cord tumor. After sitting in the ER for 6 hours before questioning the care I was receiving, the staff in the ER absolutely went above and beyond to belittle and demean me to the point where I decided to check myself out of the hospital as I did not feel the least bit comfortable in their care. The straw that broke the camel's back was hearing the ER doctor and an ER nurse call me a "CRIPPLE" and then consistently tell me that I was the problem. All of this in front of my 5-month pregnant wife causing her emotional distress. I had typically been happy with Mercy's care however my experiences today make me question how I had felt about their healthcare system. more

the best hospital in town 10/29/2005

THis hospital has the best nursing care, great doctors, a beautiful facility. THe new centers of excellent are very impressive in service and quality. My family has used this hospital for years, and have never had any complaints or problems. We always recommend this hospital to all of our family and friends. more

THE place to go for healthcare! 8/22/2005

St. Edward Mercy Medical Center is an excellent hospital for many reasons. They have a great reputation in this community for providing the very best up to date healthcare in this area. They have recently added a new Women's Center, Outpatient Surgery center, and Heart Center. The facility is beautiful and the staff is very friendly. My family has always used this hospital and we have never been disappointed. The nursing care has been wonderful and the customer service is also excellent. I would recomment St. Edwards to anyone! more
