Too much Hype! 10/7/2002

This restaurant is noisy, hard to get into and food is fair. It's hyped up as a place to be, but I would rather go where the food is excellent, especially if you are going to pay those prices. Pros: convenient downtown Cons: too pricy, too noisy, too long to wait more

festive, high energy 9/25/2002

Still good food and service after all these years. Tasty, fun and creative environment. more

Baci is Rich Man's Tucci's 8/29/2002

How this won the ""CitySearch poll"" for ""best Italian"" I have not a clue. Loud, souless and too trendy for this pup's taste! The pasta dishes (like crab in vodka sauce) are bland and the specials (seafood and pizzas) are okay but nothing to fret over by any means of the imaginary tastebuds. Only the wine list--and perhaps the appetizers are what brought me back two more times after the initial taste test. But the place to ""see and be seen"" deal has gotta go... in L.A. maybe that's considered cool, but Salt Lake? Come on... that's an oxymoron (SLC/cool)! Pros: worthy wine list, dessert selection, appetizers Cons: too trendy, loud (huh?!) more

Wow 8/22/2002

Defenitely the best Italian in Salt Lake !! You should really try the steak. It's better than most steak houses. more

The all-around BEST in SLC 8/21/2002

I find Baci to be the all around best restaurant in Salt Lake. For the very reasonable priced food you get excellant service, tastefully unique atmosphere, and some of the very best food in the city. I constantly have a diffucult time deciding what part of the meal to fill up on, because the appetizers, entrees and desserts are all equally enticing. At times (ie. when they are very busy) the sevice does suffer and the wait can be LONG to get a table. but with a reservation and a little patience you'll soon have an excellant dining experience. Pros: Atmosphere, FOOD, Price Cons: long waits more

Italian? 8/1/2002

If this is what Utah considers good Italian food I better make my way back to the homeland! After reading about Baci's on this website I figured if I wanted a taste of back home I better give this place a try.....BIG mistake HUGE! What was I thinking? I have to admit the service was pretty good we had a cute little gal waiting on us and she was very attentive. (grant it we were her only table but....I need to give credit where it's deserved) But folks the food was terrible. I have never been so disappointed in Italian food, this place gives Italy a bad name. It was bland with a gritty taste. Trust me when I tell you not to waste your time. more

Ciao Baci 7/27/2002

We have been going to Baci since their opening. Not easy since most restuarants last about 1 year! Food great, appetizers are the best and the service is most excellent. Pros: Club more

Location, Location, Location 7/26/2002

I often have work downtown with clients, especially at the Salt Palace Convention Center. Baci is centrally located so that we can walk from almost any spot downtown. The service has always been excellent, in fact the servers call me by my name now! Food is consistent. The high ceilings and fantastic stained glass make Back one of the most beautiful restaurants downtown. Pros: Downtown Location, Service, Excellent for Clients Cons: Not inexpensive!, Not great for kids. more

Italian! Steaks! 7/26/2002

Most people don't know that Baci has some of the best steaks in town. I recently had the Steak Oscar, Filet w/ crab meat covered in Hollandaise sauce. Absolutely delicious! Gastronomy restaurants also seem to have the best trained staff in which makes for consistent service. Pros: Food Made to Order, Service, Ambience Cons: Sometimes Crowded more

Too Hip for SLC 7/25/2002

Since my wife and I moved here from San Francisco we have been looking for a hip restaurant/club. Our suprise was Baci which allows you to enjoy a very hip atmosphere as well as imbibe - all on the Club Baci side. The food has never disappointed us, the bartenders are awesome and the Frequent Dining program has given us many free meals over the years. Simply the best at what they do! Pros: Freq. Diner Program, Excellent Service, Great Food! Cons: Not for kids more

Exceeding Expectations 7/25/2002

Baci Tratorria and Club Baci have the most exciting interior in Salt Lake City with floor to ceiling stainglass panels. The service is outstanding, the food is 1st class. Baci is always recommended as the restaurant to go when out of town guests ask for a fine dining experience that is not stuffy! Pros: Ambience, Interior Decorating, Service Cons: Popular-Can be Wait more

Good Food 7/8/2002

Food is good, but not excellent. The prices are steep for what you get. Make sure to ask for their early bird specials, yes they still have them but they must not want you to know cause they are no longer on their menus. The service is ok, I've been treated good and bad. I was there one and teh waiter dropped all of the food, a lot of people walked away with food on their clothes and broken dishes beneath their tables and we were not offered free meals or anything. Pros: Food Cons: Price, Service more

Delicious 6/12/2002

Try the roasted duck with the brown sugar crusted baked yam. Just thinking about it makes my mouth water. The food was wonderful and the atmostphere is quaint. more

Energetic vibe 5/16/2002

Baci doesn't serve the most sophisticated Italian cuisine, but the flavors are good and the price is right. The energy in this restaurant is great, though. There's usually a range of customers here: some 9-to-5ers enjoying an after-work drink on the club side; some Jazz fans dining before the game; some dressed-to-impress couples ready for an evening out. My husband and I had our rehersal dinner upstairs and the staff was very accommodating. The atmosphere was loud, lively and exciting. Pros: Great vibe Cons: Limited parking more
