New York Hotel Trades Council

I know the hygienist you are talking about. I work with her. Her full name is Wanda Lazaridis. She is very unprofessional. She has been with NYHTC for years and I don't understand how her behavior has been tolerated for so long. She has been known to take personal calls from men that she has had affairs with on the office phone. In 2010 she had a year long affair with a man that she called on the office phone 2 to 4 times a day. He also called constantly. She has also been caught in the supply closet talking on her cell phone while patients were waiting over an hour to be seen. Patients have complained about her being rude and unprofessional. There was also a male patient that she sexually harassed so he decided to not come back to our office. He said that she made him feel very uncomfortable with her remarks about his appearance and that she also tried to get him to have dinner with her. I felt very sorry for the man because he didn't want to say anything because he was afraid it would make him look bad. She really needs to be stopped. I have thought about filing a complaint before but I am afraid because I have to work with her everyday. I value my job and it sickens me to see people take advantage the way she does. more

While at the dental office here, I was disgusted by the behavior of a dental hygienist named Wanda. She was very unprofessional and actually answered her cell phone in the middle of my cleaning. She started to speaking to what I assume was a man on the cellphone in Spanish. Little did she know, I am fluent in 5 languages. She proceeded to discuss her plans to meet up with this man at a hotel before work the next day so that her husband wouldn't find out! How unprofessional! I was so grossed out to think that this woman would be sleeping around with some man prior to coming to work in a dental office! How gross! She was also very rough and so concerned with her affair that she failed to floss my teeth! Needless to say I will NEVER return to this office! I looked for a way to complain to the Union about this problem but I can't find anything. If anyone knows a way to do so please let me know! Thanks! more
