I was about to call and make an appointment with New York Dental Group after looking for a local dentist online, especially since they are so well reviewed. I hadn't written down their number though so I Googled them again to get it and this time I actually started to read all the 5-star reviews for them. After reading through all 17 5-star reviews I have come to believe that they are all fake. What lead me to this conclusion was a few different things. First, several of the reviews were left on the same date, which isn't impossible, but odd. Next, the language used in the reviews sounds promotional, like it was written by a sales rep and absolutely no specific situations or details are given in any of the reviews, which is normally what someone would be writing to convey, their own personal experience. Also, I found this phrase, ""front office staff"", used 4 different times throughout the many reviews, which seems odd that several different people would use that same phrase. Lastly, if you look at the other reviews left by all of the 5-star posters they are all for places in New York City, Brooklyn, and Yonkers, not from Vestal or Binghamton where you would presume these people would live. Also, several of the reviewers have also given 5-star reviews for dental offices in New York City only days after they had supposedly visited New York Dental Group! It almost seems as though they hired some agency to give them good reviews, but who ever it was they hired did a really crappy job. I suspect they did this because the first three reviews they got, which are now buried under all the 5-star reviews, where only 1-star reviews. Unfortunately, I think the 1-star reviews are the only real ones. I still would have tried this dentist, but not after I came to believe that all of their reviews are fake. more

The front office staff are always friendly and are very helpful and accommodating when it comes to getting follow-up work done. They were able to work out a time line for us to get some crown work done for him that fit our budget. They called us out of the blue to offer the suggestion without any prompting from our end! I was very impressed. Going to the dentist should be a priority and why not go somewhere you feel good about? more

The dentist identified the problem that my previous dentist had broken the filling and did not repair it correctly, the dentist re-performed the corrective procedure, and now it is better than it ever. I would enthusiastically recommend the dentist and the friendly staff to any friends. more

My dentist is truly gifted with both technical skills and calming demeanor. I have never been so comfortable in a dental office before! My dentist performed an implant on me and it was virtually painless! I couldn't believe it! more

Unlike some other dentists we've been to, Dr. Pannu seems to care about your pain level and comfort . Friendly, patient, highly skilled, he's my all time favorite dentist. The office is clean and modern. The front office is super helpful and friendly. I've found a real winner! more

This place is so awesome that it's not even like you're going to the dentist at all! I love everything about this place and can't wait to get my teeth cleaned again real soon. I might actually go on a regular schedule instead of once every year or two. All-in-all, this is the coolest dental clinic I've ever visited and I didn't think I would ever say that about a dental clinic! more

This is a real cool dentist place. I like coming here when I need to come for my check ups I don't hesitate or nothing. I don't wait for a long time and the appointment is pretty fast. more

I have been a patient of the New York Dental Group for almost 2 years. You know this has to be an exceptional office as I drive over 32 miles one way to get there. The staff is always very friendly and try to make your experience as enjoyable as possible. It is nice to know that Dr Pannu and his staff are always using the latest cutting edge technology. I love the ultrasonic cleaning instead of scraping at my teeth! When I have had to get shots they were painless!!!!!!! I would highly recommend this office. They will make you part of their family. more

Dr. Prab is great. He is the only dentist I will go to and I don't even live in Vestal anymore. Regardless of whatever tooth problem I have, I know it will be fixed correctly and I will never feel any pain. The hygienists are always friendly and do great work as well. more

I chipped my tooth yesterday when I tripped and I started to panic. It was not something that I could hide since it was my front tooth so I called New York Dental Group and they fit me in a few hours later. They really helped calm me down! Thanks New York Dental Group!! more

Fabulous dentist! Those two words don't normally go together, but an exception can be made for this Dr.. Prompt, conscientious, and caring, he also has a great group of people on his team. more

Always a great experience coming here!! They are always very helpful and accommodating with scheduling appointments, esp. if the situation is urgent. The dental staff, both hygienists and dentist are wonderful as well. I have been coming here for over 2 years and have never had a bad experience...I highly recommend this practice!! more

After bad experiences at nearby dentists, these folks are the BEST dentist I have used in 32 years! They are absolutely the true professionals. Nice and answered all questions and concerns. Will definitely come back! more

My appointment was at 11-00 . i went in at 10-45. i was called in at 11-15 (30 minute wait in the lobby!!). i wiated for another 40 minutes.. no sign of the doctor. more

Go here at your own risk!!! I went to this dentist to get a cleaning and they tried to say I had 10 CAVATIES!!! The tech was decent but the dentist who looked at my teeth afterward barely said a word to me, shoved his fingers into my mouth and made me feel like a horse at auction. He only told me what his findings were after I questioned him repeatedly. I'm not sure if he doesn't speak English well or just doesn't have communication skills, but I didn't like him even before he gave his diagnosis. He just poked at my teeth and mumbled a bunch of stuff to the assistant recording the information. ACCORDING TO HIM I HAD 10 CAVATIES!!!! I was floored and tried to ask them questions, but the dentist and the staff acted like they could care less about my feelings. I felt like they just wanted to get me out of there and onto the next set of teeth. A week later, I went to Lalor Creekside Dental for a second opinion and they said I ONLY HAD ONE CAVITY and EVERYONE was REALLY NICE and treated me like a PERSON!! Go here instead of NY Dental Group. It's a little farther away but well worth the drive. Pros: Tech was decent Cons: Treats Patients like cattle, exaggerates number of cavaties more

I called NY Dental because I have a very bad tooth that needs out. I called on Weds and was told that they could not get me in until next Weds. I do not see how that is same day care. I will never call there again and will take all my future dental work to some other Pros: close by,advertise same day emergency service Cons: does not actually offer same day service more

Waited in the lobby forever. Staff is very dismissive with one exception. No one made much of an effort to be friendly. Just wanted me in and out so they could get paid. The procedure was more painful than helpful as my teeth still hurt. It seemed like everyone was much more concerned with closing early than my teeth. The dentist and his assistant almost split my lip while holding my mouth open. more
