I had the pleasure to have dinner at the New Sorrento Restaurant in Danbury recently and boy was I surprised. The new owners have created a menu to any palate that you have. The service was good and the food took a little longer than expected but boy was the wait worth it. Not only did the owner, Tony, who is also the chef come out to greet us but is lovely wife Ann Marie was also in tow. They were very attentive to every need that we had. I have recently returned with my family and many other times and every remained consistent. The food is tasty and a good value, however the service is not good at all, and it took VERY long for our food to arrive. This is a ""family"" restaurant, and not an upscale restaurant, so the Hour and Twenty minutes it took for the food to arrive was unacceptable. I don't know why the waitress bothered asking what kind of wine we wanted when she clearly ran in the back and poured 2 glasses of the EXACT same house Red wine after we specified a Cabernet and a Merlot. Also the waitress was unapologetic about the wait time. The bottom line, if you don't mind waiting, the food is tasty and a good value. more
