I was very disheartened to read the review by Mandy M. So, in response I would like to offer a review based on my own observations. I have observed first hand interactions between staff and residents in a classroom setting, during meals, during free time in the cottages, and while participating in outside activities over a period of a year. It has been my experience in observing staff that they make every attempt in maintaining a supportive, nurturing, and caring enviornment that encourages openness, trust, and accountability. Secondly, I have also observed in staff, a level of professionalism in proper decorum that is uncompromising. If I need further evidence of the fine work that this program provides and stands for, I have only the girls to ask, as open communication amongst residents, visitors and staff is encourgaged and respected. more

It is staffed by people without college, and in some cases no high school diploma. The staff is made up of volunteers whom they barely screen. Because of this, girls have been sexually and emotionally abused over the years by various staff members. The girls are overworked, and treated like criminals, when most of the time they are just foster kids or girls that came from dysfunctional homes, just to enter into another hell hole. Do not send them your money, do not send them your children. Girls have tried to commit suicide just to leave the place. Pros: good food Cons: it crushes girls spirits and steals from their youth. more
