New England Shutter Mills's quality and workmanship was excellent. I'm extremely pleased with the enhancement to my house. My particular project was difficult because I have arched windows on the third floor, but they did an excellent job of measuring and installing in a very difficult situation. They did a great job. It was my first time using them, and I would highly recommend them. more

Only minor complaint was we asked for sample and never got it. Stood us up on a couple of occasions. But finished product was great. Very knowledgeable, professional staff. more

Great service, good product 8/22/2013

Karl was great to work with--I highly recommend him and his team. He gave us good advice about the product and was responsive to our questions. The product is good (probably not as great as custom built ones), but works well for our windows and what we needed. There was a glitch in what originally came for installation, but Karl quickly took care of fixing problem and reinstalling the shutters. I would use NE Shutter again. more

We used New England Shutter Mills to add cedar shutters to one side of the exterior of our home. They made every part of the process easy from the phone call starting the process to request a quote all the way through to the installation. It was easy and seamless from the customer perspective. They suggested a date via email and I did not need to be here since they were on the exterior of our home. They came on the date they said they would to do the installation and the shutters exceeded my expectations. more

Fantastic service - results better than imagined 6/13/2013

We had wood shutters installed on our home from the folks at NE Shutter Mills in June. The results were incredible, it completely changed the look of the house. The hardware that was suggested really made the difference, and it vastly exceeded our expectations. more

Product and service was absolutely great. Just what I expected. 5/15/2013

I met Karl from New England Shutter Mills at a Boston home show. He had the product that I had been looking for for awhile so I invited him to our home to do some measurements. He designed shutters for us that no one else could because of the depth of our windows. The only thing I wasn't crazy about was that I didn't realize they would have to remove the handle on the window. Sometimes the rail doesn't work with the window open. But that's not a big deal and is more a function of the windows I have than their work. My shutters look beautiful! They did exactly what I asked them to do. Karl really knew his stuff. That wasn't my experience with the interior designer, Lowe's, Home Depot, or anyone else I worked with. New England Shutter Mills was so nice, so efficient, quick and clean. more

Customized perfectly to our old home's design 5/6/2013

We have an old house and we were looking for appropriate wood shutters. New England Shutter Mills was competitive on price and they were flexible about our specific needs on size and shape. They provided the perfect shutters, customized exactly how we wanted them, and did so at a good price and in good time. We had someone else install them but they look fantastic in our home. more

Everything went great. New England Shutter Mills did a really good job. They made the wrong shutters at one point but they quickly acknowledged their mistake and replaced them. I was very happy with how they handled it. more

I thought New England Shutter Mills provided a very personalized service. They are very trustworthy. They end product was very high quality. The first time they brought them out, they were less happy with them than I was. So they took them back, did some more work, and re-installed them. I thought that was great. more

A very good experience. 4/26/2013

New England Shutter Mills installed new shutters in my home. I had them come out on two different occasions. The first time they came out, two men installed the shutters and painted them. The color was not matched correctly, it was just not the same as the trim color. Also, one of the shutters for one room was sized incorrectly. Two different men came out the second time. They repainted the shutters, to try to get the color matched correctly, and I appreciate them making that effort. The color is still somewhat off on some shutters, which they told me was due to the paint being oil-based and needing some time to set and see that they are actually the same. Overall, it was a very good experience. I have an old house and I understand that certain window treatments will not yield the most desirable results. I am not overly concerned with the colors not truly matching. I really liked the service. Karl is awesome and everyone in his team was very accommodating. more

Satisfied with shutter order for my living room 4/4/2013

Each time I was in contact with NE Shutter Mills, I received a reply contact - either via email or telephone. The order was fulfilled to my satisfaction. I'm pleased with the quality as well. (at about half the price of Lowes). And, NO, I'm not being coerced or paid to leave this message. I'm a do-it-yourselfer who is pleased with this company. more
