The staff is all very friendly! Deb does an amazing job coloring my stubborn grays. She offers a lot of product and style knowledge, thus making sure I am comfortable recreating her salon style at home. She is professional, patient , and kind! Always a pleasure to work with!!! more

Both my wife and I have been going to Virginia for many years. In fact, I was a long-time customer of Virginia when my wife was having difficulty finding a decent hairdresser. After initially trying Virginia, she was most pleased with the results and has also become a loyal customer. A few specifics from my wife (womens haircut): My hair has a natural wave that I was unaware until Virginia brought it to my attention. She knows how to cut my hair very precisely, whether I choose a short layered bob or a longer version. Virginia knows how to cut thicker hair by thinning it using various techniques (thinning shears, razor, scissors). As a result she gets my hair to lay perfectly. Virginia never rushes and takes her time to get my cut just right. She is just a great stylist. I've been going to her for over 5 years and will continue for years to come. And a few comments from me (mens haircut): Virginia does a great mens haircut. Not only do I leave the shop with a great cut, but it looks great through to the next appointment. She listens to and knows what I want, and never fails to deliver. Everything is trimmed ""just right"" and with style. My hair is always professional in appearance and contemporary in cut. My wife recommended that I go to her salon, I was apprenhesive, but decided to go. I went to her hairdresser Bev and have never went any where else since. Lynn is so good at listening to what it is you want to acheive no matter what service you are having done. She always has great advice and the prices are very reasonable. She is self employed and has the flexibility to perfect your requests. New Concepts is a very comfortable environment to be in. You never feel out of place. it's very friendly and location is key. I have gone to all of the fancy hair salons in the area, end up spending $200+ for cut and color, and walk out still hating my hair. Friends told me to go to New Concepts and ask for Jenni. Prices are great and I absolutely LOVE my hair. The color is fabulous. This salon is calm and quiet and isn't for you if you are looking for the hip salons a.k.a. night clubs like ""6"" in Royal Oak or Heide's in Somerset. Remember you are paying for the look of the salon, wouldn't you rather pay for the look of your hair. more
