Absolutely the worst Chinese take-out restaurant I've ever ordered from.
First of all, I would like to note that I AM Chinese, so I know what quality Chinese food should taste like. Here, the food quality is passable. If you really want good Chinese food, I suggest you go to NYC, or something.
However, here's the problem with this place:
I've ordered here a couple of times whenever I craved for Chinese food. The first time I ordered from here, everything was fine: I got the order in 45 minutes like the lady on the phone had said, and the food was all right, so I thought I'll order from there again.
The second time I ordered from them, the order came an hour late. My girlfriend was over, and she was pissed off at them. I was a bit more lenient and waited.
I gave them a second chance and ordered from them the third time. The order was late again. When I called to see what's going on, the lady said ""Oh, He'll be here in 5 minutes."" He came half an hour later, and was an hour and a half late. I seriously thought that they had forgot my order after 45 minutes, and actually started cooking after I called to check up. The driver even had the nerves to ask for tips after he saw how frustrated I was.
I ordered from them again a few months later, hoping that they cleaned up their act by then. I was wrong. This time, the order was 2 hours late. I had to call at least 2 or 3 times to ask what's going. They just kept saying, ""the driver should be there momentarily."" I guess momentarily meant that he'll be here in over half an hour.
I gave up with New Century. I didn't want to order from them again, but my roommate never had food from them before, so he ordered a Chicken Chow Mein tonight.
When the order came, and we opened up the box of chow mein, there were no noodles. Only relishes and white rice. We called them back asking them to remake the chow mein, because what they sent him obviously isn't chow mein.
The woman on the phone had the nerve to say, ""oh, chow mein isn't noodles. There's no noodles in chow mein. Chow mein is all cabbage and onions.""
The hell it is. ""Mein"" means noodles in Chinese. I told her that I'm Chinese and I know what Chow mein is. What we have was obviously not chow mein. I called her out for trying to fool Americans, but she denied it and insisted that Chow Mein has no noodles in it.
We said that we'll order elsewhere, and she said that ""you'll get the same chow mein from other places.""
She could've admitted she was wrong, but instead she had the nerves to lie to me like that, another Chinese person.
Conclusion: Take your business elsewhere. This place scams Non-Chinese and Chinese people alike. They're greedy, and stubborn. You're better off ordering pizza or getting Chinese food from another restaurant.
