Went in to get my car checked for failure to start. Once they see you can't get the car started they got you by the balls. They charged $145 to "diagnose" the car after I told them exactly what's wrong with the car. They charge $800 for a thermostat. Their reason, it's genuine BMW not OEM. I looked at various auto parts for "genuine BMW" the part is $35 They quote $400 for the part and $200 labor. Then they say it'll be ready by the end of the day, then you get call saying it wont be ready until the next day. more

Totally lack basic business ethics, AVOID 1/28/2011

I live out of town, and saw a car I wanted to buy on their web site. I tried to buy the car over four days when while they told me every story you can imagine. They negotiated for three days before accepting my offer. I told them we had a deal! Then within two hours they turned around and told me they had sold the car to someone else. Completely lacking ethics and honesty. Admitted that they were wrong and offered to find me another car. Obviously brain dead to think I would by even a bag of peanuts from them after they wasted my time. Avoid at all costs. There are lots of good BMW dealers, don't waste your time with these guys. more

this place gets the worse service ever !!! I made a service appointment on 10:40 am and the customer service told i can pick up my car around 2:00 pm or if they done it early they will call me back to pick my car , there had a promised time on the paper it is 4:00pm . i was waiting until to 5:30pm still nobody call me from new century bmw . when i call them ask about does my car ready to pick up ? the service said it was ready long time !!!!!! think about that , after they made money from us , whatelse they can get from the customer ? nothing else , so they dont care about customer anymore !!!!! guys choice a better place for your after-sales service . i swear if they do that to me again i ll complain them to consumers' association !!!!! more

RIPOFF and terrible customer service!!! 9/22/2010

This place is a complete rip off and the customer service is a joke! Never go here for service! I've been here a few times for repairs on my Z3, and every time they recommend I buy ridiculously overpriced services that I don't need (like over $2000 to replace seat rails that literally work just fine) and rip me off on the services I do need. Recently I needed a muffler repair. The estimate was over $1300 for a replacement, including (you're not going to believe this) $145 for them to "check and advise". ... "CHECK AND ADVISE"? $145??? I already knew what was wrong and I told them when I got there!! The best part is that I left and got my repair done at Orange Grove Mufflers for $60 and it is good as new! That's 95% less!!! I'm so glad I didn't get the job done by New Century BMW! Customer service was terrible the last time I was there as well: Their guy was 15 minutes late to my appt (which was a big deal because I needed to catch a carpool to get to work afterwards). I had also asked in advance for a shuttle to take me back to Pasadena (5 whole miles) and it STILL hadn't shown up 51 minutes after my appt!!! I had my friend pick me up from Alhambra and the shuttle never showed up!! Later that afternoon when I told my helper that I thought the "estimate" of $145 he gave me that morning was for the whole repair (and not just the "check and advise") he literally laughed at me on the phone. I hope he gets fired, as that is what he deserves. more

New Century BMW Alhambra / Worst Service / Thiefs 3/1/2010

I recently had one of the worst car experiences in my life. I went to New Century BMW in Alhambra to get an Oil Change and a Turn Light Bulb replaced. So I give them the keys and they take my car. An hour later I get back my BMW X5 4.4i but it looks and feels different. They Stole one of my BMWs New Headlight Assemblies and replaced it with an Old Dirty Diffused Cloudy Discolored Headlight Assembly! They also took the Air out of my Tires! My BMW X5's two front tires purposely flatten to 28 psi & the back ones to 32 psi, the new Tire Stems on my Goodyear Response Edge Performance Tires had been broken & twisted! (They are 44 PSI Tires) & it seemed that they didn't even top off my Oil!!!! I was charged $500 to have my X5 trashed / Do not take your car to New Century BMW in Alhambra / There is no control there I need some help in fighting & correcting this, I contacted the Manager but he hasn't returned my call, do I need to contact the Better Business Bureau of the United States America - Pros: None Cons: New Century BMW Alhambra / Worst Service / Thiefs more

Rip-Off!!! 12/14/2009

Ripoff!! This place is a huge ripoff. I've taken my 330i here while still under service warranty. When my clutch went out in October, took it there because I wanted to have "experts" work on it. They replaced all major components of the clucth system including the clutch assembly. Paid over $2,600 to have them fix the problem. Lo and behold, the problem is back a month later. Took it back and they wanted to charge me an additional $300 for labor to fix the same problem. Also had a problem with the coolant leaking in June last year and they "fixed" it in June. Again, the problem comes back and they want to charge me an additional $500 to fix the problem. This place does not take accountability for the service they give. I'm lazy about these review stuff, but i decided to write this out so other customer won't get fooled like I was. One day my car key could not open my car and I went to New Century BMW to get a new car key. They said my car key is absolutely fine and it's my car that had a problem (without even exam my car). So I towed my car to this place, they first run a complete examination ($149) and said my car computer is broken and need a new one ($889). After all these and after one week, they finally called me saying "They new computer is not working and now you need a new car key ($249)..." I called them millions of times and they refuse admit they've made a mistake in a very bad attitude. Although i live only couple miles away from New Century, I'm now going to other dealer with better service! Absolutely not going back again! Pros: nice building outside Cons: Mislead customer to get more unnecessary service. more

This is a typical asian catering BMW dealer, with terribly high prices, terrible service, very rude and stupidly slow salesmen who cant even find their own car keys! They yell at you, and even talk down to you like if you dont spend a couple thousand extra, you are a worthless asian.. I would avoid this place and goto another bmw dealer for any car purchase or services. These guys will try to rip you off, they lie alot and show you bogus MSRP and invoice prices, do your own research and learn the truth! On the bright side, the new building looks nice, plasma tv, coffee, etc etc. Pros: nice new facility Cons: worst run BMW dealer, terrible service, terrible salesmen more

Worst BMW Dealership in Southern California 1/8/2009

Brought my car in to have the thermostat replaced and was over-billed 1.6 hours worth of labor charge (over a $200 difference). When I pointed this out to the dealership they would not refund the difference. The customer service is terrible, especially in this situation where the management was rude and unreasonable. My recommendation to anyone is to stay away from this dealership for repairs and search out a good independent BMW garage. I originally purchased my BMW from this dealership. After this incident I refuse to give them any more business and have been spreading the word around to friend/family regarding their unfair practices. CUSTOMER SERVICE = CUSTOMER CIRCUS AT THIS PLACE! 1/23/2008

I brought my car in for some insurance repair work to my dash. I figured if you could trust anyone it would be the dealership! WRONG! I brought the car in ahead of time to get an estimate. The service advisor I dealt with was Dan Cao. I went through and showed him what needed to be done - pointed out each part. I then went to the insurance company and they approved the work so I made an appointment and left my car with the dealership for a day to get the work done. The Insurance appraiser gave me a list of parts he had approved to have replaced. I gave this to Dan and made it clear that should they need any more parts they were to call the Insurance company for approval. Dan assured me it would all be taken care of. When I arrived later that evening to pick up the car it appeared that nothing had been done to the dash and the bill was for about $75 over the estimate amount. It turned out the Insurance adjustor had listed the wrong parts and both Dan and Ben, the manager were very quick to point a finger at the Insurance company. Yes, they made a mistake, but had Dan double checked the paperwork he would have caught this. He SHOULD have caught this instead of just pushing the car through to get the work done not having any clue what the service dept. was doing to it. I found the manager Ben to be condescending and I thought he should have stepped up and admitted their fault in not double checking the parts list, but he just kept blaming the Insurance company. Bottom line is that if they are this reckless and unconcerned as to what was being done to my car they are not the kind of people I want working on it. I have taken it to a great Indie shop and the customer service I have recieved is leaps and bounds above what this dealership had to offer me. I am now sure the work will be done correctly and professionally. Too bad this dealership could not accomplish this! BEST BMW CLIENT ADVISORS 10/9/2007

My experience at BMW in alhambra is great. they are always so friendly and stright forward. the day i call them is the day i get my car problems fixed, they are just willing to bend over backwards. The sales guy who has sold me a number of cars is the same one I always contact and he refers me to the various other parts of the lot...his name is Hamlet. Hamlet has been there for a long time and knows a lot about the cars and is great at what he does. more

I live in Brentwood CA...I would never take my car to Santa Monica BMW or Beverly Hills BMW I rather drive to Alhambra were all my calls are returned and there's allways someone to pick up the phone with any questions that I might have..... I rather drive 25 miles and get the customer service that is expected from BMW.. Pros: best customer service more

Great Car Buying Experience 5/20/2002

I recently purchased a car from them and had a very positive experience. My calls were always returned in a timely manner. Salesman was straight forward with his quotes and gave me clear expectations. Definitely recommend this dealership. Pros: Very Professional, Great Service, Friendly more
