Went in looking for a ball dress. Prices were exceptionally steep but found something that would have worked. Left a deposit and was to return in a couple of days to have fitting done. Eventually I found something less expensive and decided not to use this dress again. Went back that Saturday and of course Sheila was not there.{made 2 attempts in one day} I left a message with the elderly lady that I did not need the dress again. Went back on Monday, to get refund of deposit and she informed me that there is a NO REFUND POLICY!!!!!!!!!!!! Where is this stated in the store. I almost lost it but kept my composure! Looked at accessories, none within my deposit range. I left and went back the day of the ball and got a purse that I still had to pay out of pocket for. Bad experience, found a dress at WEDDINGS N THINGS and was happy with the choice as well as timing the dress was here for the ball. Kenya was terrific at knowing just what would look good on me, she sent me to the dressing room and brought me dresses to try on. Best experience I had with any of the shops. After I made the choice it went down hill from there. The seamstress (the owner Sheila) did not keep appointments, the first miss she was actually there and hadn't touched my dress. When I went back the following week again, not there, Kenya fitted me. Returned a week later, it was WRONG, Sheila blamed Kenya, My next apptthe following weekI found the shop closed and no answer to my calls. Three hours later Kenya answered, my dress wasn't there. Went back the following day, dress was better but still not right. I have it now and will make the changes myself. And I was charged the $60 alterations twice. This establishment is all about the money. The will CHEAT you out your money. My friends wedding was almost ruined. The has the wrong size dresses for the ladies. The would not return any money. They were very UNPROFESSIONAL. There was no such thing as customer service once monies were exchanged. In addition, they refused to release any dress until a balances were paid in full ( Something that was not discussed previously). They are money hungry and money hungry people will say, smile, and do anything to get that money after that your on your own. These people are capable of ruining the one day thats meant to be perfect. If you are planning an elegant occasion do not use this business, it is not worth it. They do not accept any responsibility and they will leave you out to dry. DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS. THEY ARE TERRIBLE. Thank goodness my friend was capable of looking past their irresponsibility and negligence and vowed to have a great day. Pros: They had a nice selection. TERRIBLE!!! Totally ruined our order and would not return any money or properly give ""free"" alterations because of their mistake. Has had 3 other stores that have failed all because of the same unprofessionalism. Do not deal with this store, you will be sorry. Cons: EVERYTHING more

my girlfriend and i were looking for a dress for her for her senior prom.My girlfriend is a little bit larger than most teenage girls that go to prom.anyways new beginnings was the only place that said they had her size.so we went and picked her out one and they said it would be here in 2 1/2 to 3 weeks. we ordered the dress in February and it is a week before our prom and the lady has not even ordered the dress yet.while we were waiting to talk to the manager we ran into 3 other girls with the same problems so me and my girlfriend went and found another dress at another store and when we asked for a refund(remember the manger hadn't even ordered the dress yet) the manger told us she would not give us a refund just because my girlfriend could not be a perfect size and that we were tough out of luck.so please from one good hearted person to another please do not buy here you WILL GET SCREWED!!!!
