Sells Spoiled Beer 7/31/2009

I purchased a half case of Moretti beer from New Beer. Tried it a week after I purchased it and found that it was flat and bitter. They refused to take it back; said I had to return it on the day of purchase. Cons: Refuses to take back spoiled beer more

Outstanding ""Beer Garage"" -- Lower East Side style 5/15/2009

This is a small warehouse with an impressive collection of high-end beer for sale. Storage is a little dark but that's good for beer. It's a dingy little euro-style bare basics storehouse with a plexi-window booth out front, no doubt highly secure. They don't have shopping baskets or other cheerful 'store experience' amenities - you are here to dig for treasure, and will save perhaps 50 cents to nearly a few bucks on some beers. So grab a carton, and start looking around the tall, dazzling racks of beer. I truly think if they charge some beers in the 8-10 dollar range, then they HAD to charge in that range to sell it - many notable price breaks are given on other excellent beers they were able to sell cheaper. I would recc stop by the WF up the corner at Houston, make some notes and come back here to shop first. Whole foods does have some different items, but you will find many of them here and for less geld. What a find. I say GO!!! Pros: Selection & value draw you in deep Cons: You may need a flashlight... more

Beer utopia 2/10/2009

The ""attitude"" or ""service"" is irrelevant here. The sheer scope of the selection is unbeatable. I don't care if louse-ridden axe-murderers ran the place. I would still shop there. They have more available micros than Whole Foods on Houston. And that's a lot. Pros: Incredible beer selection Cons: Better bring a cart to wheel it away more

Worst Customer Service EVER!!!! 1/12/2009

Please note - if you want to be treated rudely, ignored, hung up on when you call, and yelled at when you ask a simple question THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU. I dont care how cheap their products are, its not worth being treated like you are out of line for asking them a question which last I checked is part of their job. What a horrible way to run your business. I dont mind spending more for being treated with kindness, and respect. Common courtesy should not be something you have to pay for in a product. Buyers be ware! Cons: Rude & Unhelpful more

a treasure trove 1/25/2008

This is the only place I have ever found Belzebuth for sale, which to me is enough said. True rarities abound here. more

Best Place for Retail beer in the city 12/7/2005

Beer lovers and beer nerds rejoice! Whenever I get the chance, this is where I get my beer. They have just about anything you could want, though this place is best for rare beers sold in individual bottles. Beers from Belgium, Germany, England, France.. just about anywhere beer is brewed, as well as a great selection of American microbrews (Victory, Stone, Rogue, Ommegang, Avery, Smuttynose.. just to name a few). Prices are competetive with or less than other distributors I've been to. Get thee some beer here! Pros: Inexpensive, Huge Variety Cons: warm in summer more
