You'll be amazed... 3/17/2006

Driving to Neomonde, you're almost convinced someone gave you directions incorrectly. By train tracks and industrial buildings, Neomonde is itself beautiful inside and out. Go through the deli line ordering then take your food to the dining room. Be careful with ordering, though - check the menu to see if you can consolidate into a "meal" and save major money. The staff is helpful in suggesting exactly how to do that. My favorite is the spinach pie, though everything is fabulous. Walking by the dessert case will tempt you - I recommend the lady fingers, personally. They will give you a cup for water if you ask for it - they aren't sitting out anywhere, giving the impression you have to purchase a bottled beverage. more

An oasis! 7/28/2005

Everyone knows (or should go find out) that Neomonde is great as a restaurant, but it shines as a market, as well! Their fresh-baked pita is cheaper than the bulk-produced kind you'd find in the grocery store, and tastes twice as good. They also feature many exotic juices, canned goods, candies, and cooking instruments, but my personal favorite is the bulk nuts and spices. Grocery stores and supermarkets charge a fortune for these, and you can find them here for much less, sometimes as much as half off or more. more

Best Middle Eastern Food in Raleigh 6/20/2005

Neomonde is a local landmark run by Lebanese brothers. Their food is delicious, authentic and fresh. As you enter the establishment you will see a deli case filled with different choices, all of which are excellent. My personal favorites happen to be the tabbouleh, hummus and falafel. Their pastry selection is also top-notch. My favorite item is the pistachio baklava. You will not find better in Raleigh. The nammora and mammoul are also excellent. more
