Neighbors used to be a place you could barely move, getting a drink took standing in line forever. It used to be a place where anything could, and usually did, happen on the dance floor. That's when it was gay. Then they opened the front door and it all went "straight" to hell. I went last week after not having been in awhile. At midnight it was dead. I was able to get a drink and walk around the club in a minute, never losing sight of my boyfriend. Then we danced. Encircled by straight people doing what gay people used to do there. I thought, "hell no", and we kissed. Talk about dirty and disgusted looks! I thought we were going to get gay bashed. Unbelievable! 11/27/2002

My first experience at Neighbours was simply UNBELIVABLE! This is the dance club I've been looking for in the Puget Sound area for so long and just couldn't seem to find. The atmosphere is sizzling, the music mixed just right and patrons totally open-minded. This may be a gay club but being straight is plenty fine as well. Trust me, I'll be back! more

This by far is the worst Bar/Club I've ever been.The drinks are weak as water and I've heard better music on elevators!!! Why is this place still open is any ones guess!!!Don't waste your time.You would have a better time staying home!!!trust me! Cons: it exists, it exist, it exists more

I went to All American on thursday and loved it I am not really into R&B but I had lots of fun. It was such a mixed croud and the barrtenders were awesome. Check this place out! more

Neighbours was a great gay dance niteclub when it opened back in 1983, now it is mostly a straight dance club with a few gays serving as window dressings. more

Sorry, Neighbours is no longer Gay. I'm not aginst staight people BUT they have their own bars and have ruined this one. It has evolved into just another straight dance bar. It's not what it used to be. Most people I know do not go here any more. Cons: Too many straights more

Straight Friendly 7/24/2002

I always have fun at Neighbours. The music is great and the people are fun. There is a huge dance floor and there are pool tables and pool tables upstairs. Cover is only $5 and you can dance way past 2:00 when they stop serving. I've had trouble convincing some of my friends to go to a "gay" bar, but once they get there, they have a fantastic time and always want to come back! Worst Time I've Ever HAD!! 7/18/2002

This place is horrible. I can't find words bad enough to describe it. I thought places like this were only to be found in South Beach, but, much to my dismay, I guess not. I have nothing against clubs tailored towards alternative lifestyles, but this place is a garrish mockery of club. I can't imagine anything being much worse than this... Neighbours is the POO!! It has the best music, with a great light show. They have all the Dance Divas perform throughout the year. Every night is something, whether there is a comedy show, or CD release party, or just damn good music to dance to till the wee hours of the morning. The prices are good, and the personality of the employees is even better. It's a gay club that is so good that the even the straight people know it. Cute guys with their shirts off covered in sweat dancing( always a good thing) and they have it. Hands down the best bar in Seattle. Pros: music, boys, drinks Cons: there is only one more

    Every city has one: The disco that just won't die. Few in the gay community will admit to having a bruised affection for it, but it somehow continues to succeed where others fail.
