AS A NATIVE HAWAIIAN, I CALLED NHLC TO INQUIRE ABOUT THEIR PURPOSE AND ROLE. THE RECEPTIONIST GAVE ME A VERY VAGUE DESCRIPTION. AFTER OTHER INQUIRIES, THAT WERE LEFT UNANSWERED, SHE PUT ME ON HOLD FOR 10 MINUTES. THE SECRETARY OF THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, MOSES HAIA, GOT ON THE PHONE AND TOLD ME THAT SHE WAS NOT ABLE TO PROVIDE THAT INFO TO MY INQUIRIES ONE OF WHICH WAS HOW TO CONTACT THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF NATIVE HAWAIIAN LEGAL CORPORATION. THERE WERE MANY OTHERS - BUT SHE HUNG UP ON ME. MY QUESTION STILL REMAINS UNANSWERED -
HOW IS IT POSSIBLE A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION DEDICATED TO REPRESENTING NATIVE HAWAIIANS IN LEGAL DISPUTES PROVIDE LEGAL HELP FOR ONE HAWAIIAN AND NOT FOR THE OTHER HAWAIIAN WHEN THE DISPUTE IS NOT A HAWAIIAN ISSUE? ISN'T THAT A CONFLICT & WASTE OF FINANCIAL RESOURCES THAT IS DESIGNED TO ENHANCE HAWAIIANS? ........ I AM GETTING THE FEELING OF THE ""BLACK CRAB IN THE BUCKET"" SYNDROME.
