This place is extremely un organized. They do not answer their phones nor do they return calls within 24 hours like they claim, I know because I have called 20 times during business hours and left messages. Once they get your cash they could care less about you or your child. My sons football uniform came in and it was way too big, the shoulder pads were huge and was rated for a child that weighed 20-40lbs more than him. We said this is all the wrong size and they told us that's all they had. HOW UNSAFE IS THAT? We took the stuff to play it again sports to try and trade for the right size and they wouldn't offer any trade because NYS equipment "is junk" and they get people all the time trying to trade their brand new equipment in from NYS for the same reason. We had to end up buying all new stuff for our son in his size. Tried to get a refund from NYS and they said it will take 2 months to get our money back. Signed our daughter up for kicks for lots and for 2 weeks we called and left messages asking when it starts- finally just went back down there since they won't answer the phone and they said it started a week ago. We signed her up in advance! The place is a joke and its unfortunate that there are such few places like it and they know this. YMCA costs twice as much. But I guess you get what you pay for. At the sports events us parents all share their horror stories of how NYS has done them. I signed my other daughter up for volleyball and at the first meet everyone was just standing around clueless of what to do because there was no coach at all. How funny is that? The only good I have experienced from all this is its something for all the kids to get together and play a sport, most do not realize the headaches NYS puts the parents thru. PLENTY OF BAD GOOGLE REVIEWS TO READ AND YOU SHOULD READ SOME BEFORE GETTING ROPED IN BY NYS.
