Me, my husband and his young brother went to DC to see the Cherry Blossom Parade. It's a very great experience. It is a family friendly event. After the parade, there are some street fairs and performance with Japanese themes. We enjoy the fairs and performances very much. Of course we also went to the blooming cherry blossoms trees surrounding the Patomic river... we took a lot of nice pictures there.
