This was the first time as a emerald member and was concerned about what I would get. As I got on the airport shuttle I was asked if I was an emerald member, when I got of the shuttle there was a man waiting for me. Walked me to the back where the cars were, no line to wait in. They didn't have a Jeep Wrangler but I did get a Jeep of another make, I asked the guy if it was possible they would get a wrangler in, he said they would call. The next day I got a call they had what I wanted a short half hour drive and a little paper work and I had my wrangler for the remaining 3 weeks of our Hawaii vacation at no extra charge! Awesome!! I have rented cars all over the country. The experience I had with National at the Lihue Airport in Hawaii during our recent vacation, was one of the best ever. There was an issue with my reservation and the staff fixed the issue immediately. Yes its a small airport, but I was treated like a king and appreciate all their service.
