I would stay away. A simple remote starter cost me all day and two days with a car that had significant issues. Had take car to ford dealer to get it fixed. Ford said I font why they did what they did but it was all wrong. They have agreed to pay the repair cost but it has cost me another day and now the jerking the ford dealer and I around about making payment. Don't go there more

Service is usually very good...but I went in there on a Saturday to have them service an smart start interlock device which takes approximately 1 minute to do and they said they were too booked up to look at it. Well I would understand but their parking lot was empty and their garage was empty except for one slot and there were three guys just standing around. I asked them again telling them that I drove a long way and they just said sorry. They don't take appointments on Saturdays, yet last month they told me to come in that day. Even had that date scheduled on the interlock. I wouldn't use them again but it's the only place that services them. Terrible customer service. Literally the service takes one maybe two minutes tops and they were far from busy!!! more

I chose National Auto Sound because of the close proximity to my brothers home so he could easily deal with any issues he had with the speaker (sub) and enclosure I purchased for him. Boy was that HUGE MISTAKE!! I bought a 10" Pioneer shallow sub (TS-SW251) and truck style enclosure to accompany the sub. I purchased them on 12/21/2010 and quickly wrapped them up for Christmas morning. A few days later on Christmas morning my little brother opened his gifts from me and was extremely excited. We pulled the speaker from its original packaging (no tape on the packaging??) to discover that the speaker had been damaged. It had a hole in the cone and a bent screw hole. We thought 'ok, no big deal, we'll just bag it and take it back'. My brother attempted to do just that a few days later with the receipt in hand. After hearing what had happened I decided to visit the store myself a few days later. With my brother in tow and the merchandise in hand I was given the same treatment...by the owner no less. His name is DICK Galler and as a business owner myself, this is not how you treat a customer. He called me a liar and said that we had tried to install it and messed it up. After 10 minutes of pleading my case I gave up and I tried to at least get my money back for the enclosure and was turned down for that as well. I didn?t want to use anything he sold me after being treated that way. It was awful. He did offer me store credit, but once again I was so disgusted and didn?t care to own anything they had to offer me. We left the store with a broken speaker, the useless enclosure, and my pocket $193.66 lighter. Do not purchase an item from this store. The owner has no business sense or knowledge of a quality customer and the staff is lackluster at best. Two thumbs down! Do yourself a favor and go to crutchfield or over to Independence Audio/Video on 23rd St. You will find better products and a far more trustworthy and knowledgeable staff. more

Overall I had a very good experience with National Auto Sound & Security. I originally chose the Prestige SS6900 which is an Alarm/Remote Start/Keyless Entry. I had several problems that were not related to the install and in the end I believe the unit was defective. Due to these problems I requested to try a simpler model and went with the Autostart AS1775U. For those of you who know these models the Prestige is a two way unit that did everything under the sun. The Autostart is a simpler one way system that has keyless entry and remote start. This unit is perfect for me. It works every time and has a fairly decent range. When I had the negative experience with the Prestige unit Ben gave me plenty of options and refunded the difference of the two models. I was frustrated at first but it was obvious to me after talking with Ben that National Auto Sound was willing to do what was necessary to make me a satisfied customer. I thought about Best Buy and Nebraska Furniture Mart and may have even saved $20 to $30 but in the end when I needed the service National Auto Sound showed me I had made the right choice. A friend recommended National Auto Sound & Security after I had a bad experience with another stereo place. As it turned out I was very pleased with them. They took the time to actually tell me what everything did instead of just trying to sell me whatever they thought I needed. The salesman was not pushy at all and really spent some time with me going over things. They had a much larger selection than I was used to seeing at the other place I tried. I ended up getting a CD player and four speakers and got them installed and they put them in right then. I was amazed at how quickly they got the job done. Even though I didn't buy the most expensive stuff they still took the time to show me how it all worked and were careful with my car even though it is nothing special. I would recommend them to anyone. I will be hopefully going back to get some woofers and an amp for my car when I get the money. more

my wife owns a higher end model americanish vehicle. she received a bday gift of a car stereo from a family member. she called numerous times to ensure the cost of all parts necessary to ensure the stereo worked in her car, labor, the stereo itself. my wife was looking for a receiver that had the usb option. she was told there was no appointment necessary, and that TOTAL COST would be $350-$400, also that it would take 1-2 hours to install and it would be done that day. upon arrival at the store, the quote sky rocketed to over $600, they did not realize her car needed a special part to make the 'check gas' ding go on. after some haggling, the price came down to $498. after paying via credit, my wife left her car and keys with a BEN. prior to leaving, my wife's family member requested that there be no hidden costs when my wife picked up her vehicle and again, BEN reassured the family member everything would be correct, no hidden fees. after leaving approx 2 hours passed and my wife gets a call and voice message; they can't do it, they've NEVER SEEN a large factory amp in a vehicle they did not have the part, please come pick up her vehicle. after picking up the vehicle, i noticed that the dash was not put together correctly. we waited two days and BEN called back telling us they have the part and bring the vehicle back. after dropping the vehicle off a second time, the stereo was finally installed. after receiving another call to come pick up the vehicle, my wife was told there was a difference in the price and asked to pay. my wife was confused, as this was a present, her family member specifically asked to be contacted in such case a price difference needed to be taken care of, the family member would pay. on a side note, i noticed that they had not put the dash back together, even after having the vehicle a second time and installing the stereo. these people are not professionals, they are NOT accredited BBB. they will gouge you with a smile on their faces, and provide shotty workmanship, all while bad mouthing others in the same industry. i suppose if my wife had a cheap entry level vehicle, lots of money and patience, this would have been a better experience. will NEVER GO BACK. if you have a superior vehicle you care about, and are frugal with your dollars(as we all should be), expect quality and professionalism, go elsewhere and be a happy consumer!, if not take your chances at National Auto Sound and be DISSAPPOINTED!!! doing business with this company was a hassle and was filled with many twists and turns. After my car was stolen and recovered last year we called and shopped around many places to find a good car alarm, we went into National Auto Sound and they had the most knowlegable and friendly people there.. they went out of their way to make sure we knew what we were buying , proper usage and the installation was ver very fast.. A+++ in my book PROS: Very Knowlegable staff CONS: none great experience more
