I wish I had stopped here first-before going to other car dealer's- here I've been treated very well- great customer service-

Editorial review from Citysearch 7/2/2012

The worst! Run to anyone else! I bought a truck there 4 months ago. They claimed they had done a 200 point inspection (meaning it passed emissions and safety). Whoever passed it didn't notice it had a dead cylinder, two jets that were bad, fouled filters, bald and unbalanced tires, a bad A/C compressor, etc., etc. Fortunately, I bought the extended warranty, which I think is what they sell to dump their bad inventory on the backs of insurance companies. My truck needs a new engine, and the warranty's underwriting company has been deciding what to do for the last 3 weeks. It is a total mess. I am substantially worse off by dealing with NAP. Don't make the same mistake as me! more

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE COMPANY 3/27/2012

I am not even going to write anything more than to say how ridiculous this company is and how they manipulate reviews online. For example, look at their past history of reviews and it will become OBVIOUS that the dealership or their social media department is making fake posts to boost the reviews. Notice that there are nearly all 1-star reviews and then within a span of a week or two there are MAGICALLY dozens of five-star posts. Get real, NAP. The gig is up. more

Worst Dealership Experience Ever! 3/27/2012

I can?t speak to their service when trying to purchase a car because I was just trying to sell my car to them. I had received an offer from another car dealership in the area and called to ask if they thought they could beat it. Matt told me over the phone that he though it would be possible and he spoke to his used car manager who said that they wanted my car. I decided to make the 30 minute drive to Sandy since it sounded like they would be able to make me a better offer. I had been to another dealership in the area that buys cars and it had only taken 30 minutes to get their offer. I was expecting something similar at National Auto Plaza. After an hour I was given an offer that was better than the other offer I had been given. I asked them to put it in writing so my husband and I could come back up later that evening to finish out the deal. I was told both by Matt and by the manager that I didn?t need the offer in writing because they ?don?t play games? and it wouldn?t be a problem at all. Both of them tried to get me to go through with the deal right then even though I didn?t have the title with me and I didn?t have a way to get back home. I was told that one of their technicians could drive me home and that it was fine that I didn?t have the title with me, that I could just bring it back up sometime. I didn?t feel comfortable with that offer so I called my husband to see if he would be willing to leave work to grab the title and come meet me at the dealership. He said that he was if they would increase the offer by $100 to compensate for our time. When I talked to Matt about what my husband said, he told me that he didn?t think it would be a problem but that he needed to go check. Prior to this he was asking me what it would take to do the deal right now and had asked if I would be willing to do it if they increased the offer $100 so it really had been his idea. Well after waiting for awhile longer Matt came back over to let me know what they had decided and he told me they no longer wanted my car. I was furious that I had just waisted 30 minutes driving up to Sandy and by the end of it all 2 hours sitting around at the dealership and then another 30 minutes to drive back home. I left the dealership and was so upset that I ended up in tears in my car as I was leaving. I would strongly encourage anyone who is thinking of doing business of any kind with this dealership to reconsider and look elsewhere for a place to sell or buy a car. If I could have given negative stars I would have... more

THEY ASKED ME TO SIGN A BLANK CONTRACT! 3/26/2012

Avoid this dealer at all costs. They use the sleaziest sales tactics I have ever seen, including asking you to sign purchase promises, blank contracts and more. The ""sales person's"" actual job is to waste your time and wear you down. after about two hours when you think you have agreed on a price they send you back to the ""Finance guy"" where the real deal actually takes place. He inflates the price ropes together a bunch of BS you don't need and random fees including a credit check fee which is about $50. They ran several hard inquires against my credit when they only needed to do one. You can get GAP from your bank. And that warranty is designed to cover things that don't ever break. more

Worst Experience Ever! 3/5/2012

Wow....I don't even know where to start. First off, when I walked into NAP, I was impressed with their building and the reviews that I saw online. They looked reputible and were very friendly. We knew which car we wanted to look at and it had just barely came in as a trade in and hadn't been cleaned, inspected or anything. John (our salesman) went to get the car in their trade lot. It reeked of a ""Black Ice"" air freshener that John quickly put in the car before letting us drive it. (to cover up the smoke smell). It did a great job. We loved the car but it was getting dark so we couldn't see the exterior and it was really really dirty. We negotiated prices and came to an agreement. We were told the car would be detailed, have 4 new tires put on it and that any door dings or minor scratches would be fixed. It also had a keyless entry that WORKED when we were test driving it. We waited for 2 HOURS for the finance guy. Ozzy was the finance guy and he was very unfriendly and not sympathetic to the fact that we had been waiting for so long. We were told we could come on Monday to pick up the car as it needed the safety inspection as well as the other repairs we were promised. I called multiple times that Monday and John was never available. I finally called and spoke with Derek in Service. He told me that some parts were needed like a new tie rod and a wheel barring so the car wouldn't be ready until Tuesday....Not a HUGE deal but still annoying. Tuesday, I call John and he tells me that the car is ready, but Derek calls me 10 minutes later and says that the car won't be ready until Wednesday morning. I leave my house on Wednesday morning around 9:00am with my 1 yr old. I get to the dealership, get my baby situated and all my things put in the car, but then realize that the car is FILTHY! There was also a stain on the driver seat and back seat that wasn't there before. I walked back into the dealership and asked John if the car had been detailed and he said that it was. He came out and looked at it and said well we can have you come back and we'll clean it. I love 1 hour from NAP so I said hell no, I won't come back, you'll do it now and you'll do a good job! I left the car and went to the mall with my baby. Came back, 2 hours later....it looks like they vacuumed it and spot cleaned it. Doesn't smell like shampoo or anything. So, I leave with the car to run errands closer to home. When I went to get back in the car after grocery shopping I realize that I only have 3 new tires and 1 old one!! Also, there are several door dings and scratches that never got taken care of. ALSO, the car is starting to smell like smoke now that the sick Black Ice smell is out of it. Also, the keyless entry is broken on the inside where the battery is placed. At this point, I'm thinking this is ridiculous. I tried calling John 3 or 4 times and each time he was ""unavailable"". My husband called later that day and spoke with John and he basically told my huband that there wasn't anything he could do about the remote, scratches, or door dings. But, he said he would talk to the GM about he tires and alignment. To make a long story short, I have an appointment this week to have the 4th tire put on and the alignment done, so we'll see how this goes. Overall, Im disgusted and am going to take the car to a reputable dear in my home town to have a 2nd safetly inspection because I don't trust NAP one bit!!!! DO NOT BUY A CAR HERE EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! more

NAC rigs reviews 2/22/2012

When I purchased a car I was asked to fill out a google review during the sale. Please keep in mind that the reviews you see are written before anything can go awry, they are not a good representation of this company. From what I have experienced so far, the dishonesty and illegal activity mentioned in the other negative reviews are true. It is unfortunate that NAC has figured out a way to rig their online reputation. I always check online for reviews before doing any kind of business, and I assumed this place was safe because there were so many positive reviews. more

Avoid National Auto Plaza 2/4/2012

When we left NAP, we thought that the sales team was awesome. What we didn't know was that they had just sold us a car that did not pass safety inspection. We had taken it to a mechanic and it failed safety. When we took it back to have it fixed, they told us that they didn't have to do anything about it. So basically they are dishonest and resort to fraud to sell cars. There was a bright yellow sticker in the window that said it passed safety and emissions. Obviously they lied. Go elsewhere to keep your family safe! more

I would not shop here 9/26/2011
