Nashville Shores is a great place for families. We have purchased season passes for the last 4 years and the last 2 years have been the best.

We take frequent mini trips with our four kids, this weekend we chose Nashville Shores. We stayed in the lakeside cabins which slept our family...normally we need two hotel rooms. The biggest treat was that there was so much to do in one location: slides, wave pool, lazy river, banana boat rides, paddle boats, jet ski's, and the Tree Top Park with zip lines. We were amazed how attentive and professional the lifeguards were. We made memories this weekend, Thank you Nashville Shores. We can't wait for our next visit. more

A place for the whole family to enjoy. They seem to add something new each year to keep it interesting. more

When we go camping we try to enjoy the experience and Nashville Shores is now our favorite place to go. We are booking a trip for next summer and buying season passes. more

Way to Expensive! 8/6/2011

We decided to take our kids to the waterpark before school started. My hubby wanted Nashville shores but i didn't. because i didn't like it last time i went about 5 years ago. I new it had added alot of new stuff since then so he won and we went. It is a nice park with lots of fun stuff. That is the nice thing i must say but WOW i have never been to a park that charged so much for everything. 9.00 to park which was the first shocker, 31.99 per person to get in and 26.99 for my 6 year old. So after we paid around 169.00 to get in , we noticed a shortage of tubes in one area and looked and saw tube rentals???? What 7.00 to rent a tube , i had never been to a park you had to rent a tube?? (i have been to many waterparks) . Thank goodness it was a slower than normal day at the park due to it rain almost the whole day so it was possiable for use to get our hands on a tube except at the wave pool, you might as well forget a tube there! Thanks goodness we bought a cooler of food and our own drinks which we kept at our van so we went there for lunch. We drove 2 hours to this park , it was fun but will never go back there! I would rather go toVenture River in Eddyville Ky (half the price of Nash.Shores) or Beech Bend in Bowling Green , Ky . Beech bend you get free parking , free drinks, no tube rentals and free sunscreen to. It is about the same price and Nashville shores (about 2 dollars cheaper acually) but price also includes there amusement park . Next year Nashville shores will not be one of our options. more

NO SECURITY/NO SAFETY 7/29/2011

Visited this waterpark on 7/28/11 with family. Kids were in wave pool. 14 y/o son was on his rental tube next to the left pool wall with a lifeguard standing less than 5 ft away and another lifeguard in the water less than 10 ft. away. A young hispanic male started verbally and physically assaulting my son, apparently for bumping into him. My older son stepped in, grabbed the attacker by the arm and told him to stop, at which time the attacker verbally attacked him and when he made a move believed to be a punch, my older son punched him in the nose. Only after this did the lifeguards get involved.(Thinking hockey game here). A ""manager"" was summoned who's only concern seemed to be find out who was involved and eject them from the park, including my son who threw the punch in defense of himself and his younger brother. I requested name of the attacker and when management refused, I requested their name. The manager and lifeguards stood there and REFUSED to even give me their names. When I asked them to call Metro Police, I was advised they would not and that I could take my problems and settle them outside the front gates!. I don't condone fighting at all, but when ""lifeguards"" stand there and witness a 14 y/o being attacked by someone who appeared to be 16-18 y/o, and not even do so much as blow their wistle, somebody has to step in and that's all my older son did. He hit the attacker once to stop the attack and that was all. When I got home and called back to talk to management, I was given to a PR manager who informed me he had no report of the incident and knew nothing of it. Obviously, problems like these exist but don't get reported. Please understand, this wasn't some fued between two rival kids or gangs. This was simply, IMO, a unreasonable attack on my 14 y/o that required someone to step in. That someone turned out to be my older son. Many witnesses voluntarily came up to me and informed me that they saw the incident and they all felt my older son took the correct and necessary action under the circumstances. NO SECURITY IS PRESENT ON THIS LOCATION AT ALL, NONE, NADA!! and a poor excuse for management with a poorer excuse of safety policy for the paying public. I'd feel safer walking my family thru the projects @ midnight than returning to this pathetically managed waterpark. Consider yourself warned, ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK AND BE PREPARED TO HANDLE ANY AND ALL PROBLEMS YOURSELF!!!! more

Will NEVER go back 7/26/2011

Pllleeeaaassseeeeee do not waste your money on this place! The staff is all teenagers that are uninformative and a lot of them are rude. We spent 10 minutes in the park and never touched a drop of water. We asked for a refund and they told us no because they had a no refund policy. We explained we had only been there a few minutes and it just was not anything like we expected. more

Great Time, BIG Cost 7/7/2011

I recently went with a group of 70 plus church family for a fun filled day. Let me say we had an amazing time. Very nice park. Only problems I seen were with cost. You pay $30+ to get in the park and still have to pay $9 to park. You are not allowed to carry any food or beverage in the park (you can get a stamp and keep going back to your car) This is a way to make killer money on their concessions. (for 3 orders of if i remember 3 or 4 chicken strips and two fries and a drink it cost close to $50. You also cannot take your childs floats or arm wings inside park. The Lazy river was awesome but for size park they have they need more floats offered to paying customers, otherwise you pay to rent one. I really did enjoy my time there but I have to say it only helped that I was part of a group cost. more

1st Nashville Shores Trip FYI'S (from a picky person) 6/11/2011

This review is for everybody out there who, just like me, has spent quite a bit of time sifting through reviews. Not too many are nice. I am so glad we gave it a try anyway and I believe you should too. more

Even the waters not free :( 6/6/2011

We have been season pass holders for the past 5 years and have always enjoyed ourselves here. This year they were bought out by the Six Flags management and along with that many changes have been made. Some good and some not so much! Didn't have a problem with the lines, I just go early. The made us buy new souvenir cups this year to be able to get the .99 drink refills and that's fine too. Yet, I have a HUGE problem with them charging me for a water refill. Tap water at that! REALLY!!! Is that even legal??? You can't bring water or food in and they charge exorbitant fees for what they do offer. So, be prepared to fork out plenty of money while visiting the park. Luckily you can pack a picnic and eat in the shady area outside the park. more

Dirty and poorly maintained 8/5/2008

Monday was day one of our first official ""Stay-cation"". We were excited to spend the day at Nashville Shores because we had heard it had changed significantly since the ole Hermitage Landing Days. Well it's changed: Pros: There is water and plenty of staff Cons: equipment is poorly maintained, too cramped more

Great Place For Summer Fun 4/23/2008

My husband and I went to Nashville Shores for the first time last summer (2007) though we have been in the area our whole lives. We got season passes, which were well worth it for us because we went to the park regularly. Sometimes for a whole day and sometimes for just an hour or two. If you plan on going more than once I recommend getting the season pass, it does save money in the long run. Since there isn't really very many family fun outdoor activites in the area anymore (since our beloved Opryland USA was closed and demolished) Nashville Shores is a real gem. There is something to do for the whole family. They don't have a lot of slides but you won't get bored they always have activites going on. We enjoy going just to get away from the everyday routine and just have fun and relax. If you have kids, they will love it. Check it out if you are ever in the area, you won't be sorry! Pros: Plenty to do, Great place to relax and have fun! Cons: Being on the lake sometimes it gets to be too windy to do some of the activites, like the ferry ride or the banana boats and Kayaking. But that is very rare. more

Swimming hole to top all swimming holes 10/5/2007

We went swimming and boating and had a picnic, I like the idea of having the choice of a pool and the beach to play and swim. The only bad thing about Nashville Shores is the weather won't permit them to stay open all year long. They need some winter activities like horseback riding and hiking. It was a lot of fun and we will visit again next summer. Pros: Liked it a lot more

Disappointing and expensive 8/12/2007

Short and sweet: the rides are worthless, except for the Big Scream. This includes the Hippo. It's laughable how much they play it up when in real life it's not nearly as tall as they lead you to believe. Pros: Big Scream is great, but be prepared for a long line Cons: Water's cleanliness is questionable; more expensive then you think more

Ride the banana boat! 7/3/2006

I spent a day here on vacation while on a national conference, and the banana boat was definitely the highlight of the day. It may cost you $7 per person, but it's an awesome ride. The water slides are good too...especially the Big Scream (I think that's the one...it's yellow...trust me, you'll know it when you see it). more
