Ok, so I went for a check up and the doc tells me I need a root cannel. So I make my appointment to come back the next Monday. Pros: NOTHING Cons: Space not long enough

I was unavoibable late for my appointment. By 15 minutes. They refused to see me and told me I'd have to come back another day! Uh...I won't be going back there. I'm sure there are dentists out there who don't employ people with this ""I don't give a blank attitude."" more

Add me to the discontents! I had 2 xrays on front teeth (first time ever on front teeth). After the xrays I was told ins. would not cover. I objected since I had never had front teeth xrayed. I was then told the $40 charge would not be made, and my chart would be so noted for future visits. When I checked out the charge showed up. Again I protested and was told the charge would be deleted. I did pay $40 on VISA for another procedure the ins. didn't cover. Then, the first statement I received included the xray charge. I went to the office and was told the $40 credit for the xrays would be credited to my acct. in 4-6 weeks. It has been almost 2 mo. w/o a credit. I disputed with VISA and they called Nanston and was told the charge was never applied. My statement says differently. Back to Nanston office tomorrow to dispute again. If no satisfaction, I'll probably tell them I will go ahead and pay the $30 bal. on my statement (not clear how that is the balance due), and tell them they can throw my chart away since I'll not be returning. more

Whether you have any problems in your mouth or not, they will swear you need a root canal. EVERY SINGLE PERSON I've met who went there said the same thing - first thing they want to do is at LEAST one root canal. I went in and had a toothache that had been driving me nuts for about a year so when they said I needed one, I was ok with that and went ahead. Pros: Cami. Cons: Everything else. ESPECIALLY Communication. more

I'm giving Nanston 1 Star because although the dental services are good, when they are performed, their customer service is horrible. Like other reviewers mentioned, they are misleading when they give estimates for certain procedures, and after you agree to go ahead with the procedures and pay the difference, you get slammed with another unexpected bill 3 months later. The doctors are also very impersonal. If you want a dentist who really cares about you and not your money, please pick another dental group. Nanston Dental - is a corporate. Hard to get to consult with the expereinced dentists. You will end up meeting money minded professionals who dont care about patient, rather care about how many different treatments this patient can be enrolled for. Most of the treatment wont be covered by insurance becos, they are not mandatory. I did not know until my insurance declined paying. I suggesst - people - please avoid this group. There are better dentists in Atlanta. more

We are a family of four. We have put up with Nanston for over 2 years now but not any more. My wife had her old fillings from 20 years ago replace at Nanston. Well one of those fillings fell out over the weekend. They would not discuss over the phone what the cost would be. They said the visit would be $30 - $60 plus xrays and it would be up the dentist wether there would be a refilling charge or not. Sure enough the visit was $60 and full price on replacing the filling that they did in the first place. No break on anything. I was not expecting it to be totally free but come on. A family of four every year and you can't back up the work you already did. It is worth the drive to find some one that you can trust. They where convenient because of the location. Tired of waiting everytime we go as well. Avoid them. You will be much happier. more

Money Hungry! I have never had such problems with a dentist before. We recently moved to the area and decided to give this group a try b/c they were ""preferred"" on our insurance plan. What a mistake! I have been receiving bills every month since the first visit. Each time they say that they will check with the insurance, I hear nothing until I receive another bill. And get this, after paying our portion of a major procedure where the fees were discussed and approved by insurance upfront, we get a bill 3 months later that reads ""INCREASE CHARGES."" If you don't mind being ripped off by a dentist, go ahead - everyone else should beware. more
