These folks have been great. All of the NC Solar Now employees that installed the panels, the outside contractors (electricians and plumbers) have done a wonderful job; very professional and knowledgeable. It's been a great journey. more

We are very pleased with our solar pool heating system after NC Solar came out and repaired our sensor. It has been heating 3 degrees each day, making it very comfortable, even in the Fall weather. We weren't heating the pool at all before the installation and couldn't swim beyond the prime summer months, but this year we were able to swim until the end of September. more

He was very courteous and kept me informed throughout the installation. All employees arrived on time, completed the installation on schedule, and cleaned up before leaving our home. We had NCSolarNow install a solar hot water heater several years ago. They did a fantastic job and our ROI is 12 months ahead of schedule. Also they fully stand behind their installs and when a sensor went bad the service tech was out and quickly repaired. I highly recommend them for any solar type work\r more

The results were amazing. Reggie arrived on time and the Therma Shield radiant barrier was quickly installed while the weather was still cool. The most amazing thing was the results. I placed 2 remote thermometers in the attic, one above the foil, the other below and during a warm day, the difference was over 35 degrees — what a great product, thanks. more

Jim and I are very pleased with our Heliocol solar pool heater. As you promised, we were in the pool 2 months earlier than last year. We love the water temperature at 80 degrees and the system is so easy to use. The thermostat allows us to cool down the pool on those very hot middle-of-the-summer days. The benefits are great and will certainly justify the cost of the system in no time. more

They were respectful of my home and made sure to clean up afterwards. The system is doing a great job of heating my pool, and is exactly what my wife and I wanted. The PV installation was virtually flawless. I worked with Karl beforehand to schedule a time that the weather would not interfere with. Karl was also able to limit my inconvenience by scheduling the inspector to come out the same day. The work crew was scheduled to arrive around 9:30 am. The electricians from Mabry's showed up at 9am and were able to scout out their part of the work by the time the rest of the crew arrived at 9:30am. The electricians (after cleaning up where necessary) were finished and gone by 1pm. Logan was onsite the majority of the time and readily available to answer questions and solve problems. The work was far enough along by 2pm to pass inspection and was completed by 3pm. Logan remained for a while to go over the system and conduct a test to ensure its operation. Once Piedmont Electric replaced my meter, both Karl and Logan were readily available to answer questions, ensuring that the system could be fully operational in minimal time. For PV panel installations, I would not hesitate to recommend NC Solar Now. more

I have had hot water solar panels for a little over 3 years when one sprung a leak. The company that installed the panels was no longer around this area to help. A call to NC Solar Now and a discussion with Greg Olenar got me back on the right track. Greg provided a great price to remove the old panel and have a new one installed. \r The NC Solar Now installers came out to my house and removed the solar panels that were installed incorrectly by another company and installed the new panels correctly. Reggie their lead installer was not only knowledgeable about the drain back system but is also very comfortable with plumbing and roofing. The team was very courteous and professional and I would recommend them for any solar hot water installation and feel comfortable that the job would be completed correctly.\r I feel that NC Solar Now went above and beyond what most companies would have done especially since they were under no obligation to work on a system that was installed by another company.\r Ken R. more

I have had it with this company. I had a system installed some time ago. I had problems with this company from the first time I got my solar system put in. It never worked correctly and my complaints reached the owner. Needless to say he was no help. He wanted to take no responsiblity for the poor work done but more cocerned with me paying in full. He also appeared to antagonize me as well. Almost amused at the fact that I was not happy. Do your reserarch and dont make the same mistake I did. I encourage ""Going Green"" but do it with a more experienced company. more

If you are choosing to have solar 5/28/2012

If you are choosing to have solar panels installed, do yourself a favor and do not use these guys. They run a 3 man operation and have very poor customer service. I had a hot water system installed and it was done incorrectly. The guys who did the system appeared to be rookies and have litttle knowledge of how Solar Hot Water Systems work. I called their competitor to fix issues i had with my system they installed. They were more concerned about getting a check than porviding good service. more
