this company is not interested in helping you create your dream kitchen,infact they are just interested in getting you money and then doing a half job to hurry up and get out.I also met with a man by the name of andrew who works there and he was so rude and sarcastic to me that it proves to me on how unprofessional this company is to hire unprofessional employees. stay away!!! Nothing but Professional Service 4/6/2009

We completely gutted our Kitchen and MyHome made the whole experience easy. They return phone calls within minutes and when asked to come my house to discuss issues it was always at our convience. They came up with creative ideas that we never thought would work in our kitchen. Loir and his staff were the most professional we have ever dealt with and we will definitely be calling them when it is time to up our bathrooms. Pros: Creative and Honest more

I recently worked with myhome and they are a complete scam.Nothing that they gave me was accurate nor was it even in the same ball park.Nobody know what they are talking about and they will say anything to make the sale,they do not care about the clients.Horrible. I recently had myhome redo my kitchen and bath and it was horrible.The lead time for all the material way not accurate and on top of that they were really difficult to work with.The project was a problem since day one. NEVER AGAIN. Pros: Example: best croissants in town Cons: labor,estimate,price,everything more

Very Professional, great service 3/11/2009

I wanted to write a review of Myhome after seeing some negative ones which confused me. I am not an employee or contractor, but a wife and mom of 2 babies living on the UWS. We asked MyHome to renovate our 2 bathrooms simultaneously last summer, under the deadline of the arrival of my second baby. Therefore, no room for late completion! They organized the work so well and in such a short length of time, I wasn't sure that we could pull it off. I ordered a lot of the supplies myself but left the difficult things like tiles and plumbing fixtures to MyHome. Needless to say, thanks to Yvonne, everything arrived on time and the contractor was great. He completed the job weeks ahead of time (there was a buffer in case of problems) and I was kept up to date almost daily via email or phone. We were never without a working bathroom the entire time which was a great bonus. As each stage was completed I did my own inspection and if I wasn't entirely happy with something, then our project manager would let the contractor know and it would be taken care of. Like every contruction job there are things that are not 100% but I would say that MyHome got it very close and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone. Also, we know that they guarantee their work for 5 years so that gives us great peace of mind. Pros: Organized, professional, courteous Cons: not too many! more

Bad Company 3/5/2009

I just want to make everyone aware on how bad this company really is. i just had a project done by them and they completely destroyed everything. Their contractors made an absolute mess of my place, they were nasty and they broke something and didn't inform me. This was my first real experience at a renovation for my home and i definitely felt like i was taken advantage. I spoke to friends of mine and after they found out that it was myhome they understood where i went wrong. Good Experience 3/3/2009

We had our kitchen done by MyHome and we were very satisfied. The design really became alive with the quality and workmanship. We were very happy with the end result and during the process we found them to be very attentive to any question or problem we came across. Phone calls were always returned and most importantly if there were issues (which were few) they were resolved immediately. Pros: Design and customer service Cons: none honestly more

Horrible Company 3/3/2009

I have a few issues with MyHome. I am a contractor and I did work with them not to long ago. All I wanted to do was get supplies for a project and they couldn't even handle that. They got ALL of they wrong materials,pushed back my job by 4 months and cost me alot of money. They are not a professional company by any means. Still to this day the client is still complaining about the quality of the material. Basically this was a huge problem that could of been avoided if I would have known more about this company. now you know so do not make the same mistake i did. Cons: Everything more

I have had the horrible experience of working with myhome and through the corse of trying to get my project done I am well aware that the only positive reviews on here are from myhome employees. This was also confirmed by certain employee's currently employed by myhome.Examle: Aviad and steve valereo.Please listen to the actual client who suffered through these project's and do not make the same mistake we have made I lost tons of money and time working with this company. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY 2/17/2009

I recently met with my home and It is safe to say i will never meet with them again.I waked into the show room and was completely ignored by the girls and when i was asked for help they were very nasty. I was also informed that all the tiles were wrongly priced and the employees basically made a joke out of the company.I also tried asking moritz for help and he was also very rude and brushed me off i cant understand how he is the vice president of this company.there is tooo much competition out there to be as unprofessional as they are.I also heard from a friend that they said anything to them to get them to sign and once they did they denied it all and made it look like they were crazy.PLEASE STAY AWAY!!!!! MyHome did a wonderful job on my kitchen renovation! Living in a small New York City apartment with a tiny galley kitchen, MyHome managed to transform it into a beautifully designed and much more functional space then it was prior to the work done. A nightmare 1/7/2009

I just want to warn everyone of the shadyness of MyHome Renovations and to not make the same mistake I have made in the past of doing business with them. I had them redo my kitchen and bathroom about a year ago and it was horrible.In a nutshell everything was wrong with this project,I was unhappy with the cabinets,( poor quality ) extremely unhappy with the service ( pass you along and no one wants to take responsibility especially the owner ) ,the estimated date of completion was off by 8 months and also the contractors were rude and nasty.They told me a date on when i should expect the project to be done and it was done 8 months after the date that was given.They give you a whole song and dance to get you to sign off on their job and once you do they just throw you along to another person and it is impossible to get a straight answer. Pros: Nothing Cons: I was not treated fairly,the job wasnt finished even close to on time,the price was not reasonable more

STAY AWAY FROM MYHOME!!!!!!! 1/4/2009

I had MyHome redo my kitchen and it was a nightmare.They told me what i wanted to hear in the beginning before sigining but everything was a scam. As soon as i signed i never heard from them again until after over 6 messages with one of the designer i finally got a call back. They were very rude and brushed me off telling me once the contract is done it is no longer their problem and pushed me onto someone else.The delivery date was a month later from the estimate that they gave and the cabinets were very cheap, let alone with the sloppy job of installation.Please do not make the same mistake ive made they are very un professional. General contractors 7/20/2008

Terrific. MyHome does everything--planning, paperwork for approvals, ordering supplies--and because it uses it's own work crews it coordinates the renovation so that there's someone at the jobsite working every day they're allowed. I did a gut renovation of a 1200 s.f. apartment--including 2 new baths, a new kitchen, new floors, new layout (which meant new walls)--and once the approvals were in the entire job took exactly four months, which is what MyHome said it would take. And they did a beautiful job. I've used them before and I'd used them again. more

Happy in Park Slope 6/30/2008

They live up to what I was told is their founding ""mission statement"". They were reported to have listed all the things that people hate about contractors and then do just the opposite. This was proven to be eminently true. They are highly professional, courteous, friendly and accommodating. They strive to work within one's budget, taste and sensibilities. They are miraculously efficient and the job went quicky and smoothly. When there is a (rare) mistake they fix it immediately, with no run around. They run the business in a remarkably organized manner bordering on obsessive, which in the business world is a GOOD thing. Every step is broken down, explained, documented etc. A payment schedule is set up. A personal project manager oversees every last step. I am so pleased with the results. I encourage anyone thinking of renovations to contact them for a ""walk through"" and estimate. Happy in Park Slope. more

Best Home Renovation Company in the City! 6/9/2008

A year ago my husband and I bought a two bedroom apartment that needed some work. We decided to completely renovate the kitchen, redo the molding in the entire apartment, paint the entire apartment, rewire, etc. Basically we touched everything but the bathrooms. MyHome did an incredible job from start to finish. A designer helped us in the beginning to decide exactly what we wanted our space to look like. He even went with us to the quarry to pick out our countertop!! Since we gutted the entire kitchen there were lots of decisions to be made. Then the company assigned a project manager to the project to ensure everything ran smoothly...which it did! We have heard horror stories related to contractors in this city and to know that our renovation happened without a hitch is nice. We couldn't have been happier with the work and the customer service of MyHome. We will certainly use them again when we decide to redo our bathrooms! Pros: Help with project from start to finish (design to touch ups), great service, great selection of materials, personable staff Cons: Had to wait a while for materials to come in before they started work. more

MyHome - My Kitchen and Bathroom Look as Great as i Thought they Would 6/11/2007

i live in NJ and had MyHome come out and give me an estimate on a kitchen and bath renovation project. I had 4 other contractors do the same and eventually decided to go with MyHome for obvious reasons: Pros: Full Service Design, Remodeling and Renovation - a one stop shop for any home remodeling project Cons: none that I could think of at this point more
