bathroom 10/19/2011

Good job. In the time they said, cooperated with us as we have only one bathroom and that was the renovation. Still looks great 8 months later. happy more

Almost Fun! 10/16/2011

Good: Their willingness to implement our vision of what we wanted; the obvious pride they took in executing the vision; the attitude and friendliness of the guys onsite doing all the work; their overall professionalism; general project management was excellent (materials arrived on time when needed etc.); flexibility in being able to change some aspects that we felt weren't working out well with our design ideas as the project progressed.. Bad: Nothing that fits exactly in the "don't like" category per se.. Improvements: Communication with the client could be better - it is to be expected that the unexpected happens, so better to communicate it clearly and quickly outlining what the consequences will be. I overcame this by being a bit of a micromanager - to which Yoel and the team responded quite well.. Other: We had a full bathroom gut reno: bathtub removed, shower installed, tiling replaced, poured concrete floor, new sconces, door, vanity. They also installed a pocket door in the walk-in closet and stripped the ugly 1980s popcorn off a column in the entrance area.. more

Fantastic Experience 10/9/2011

We used MyHome for a renovation of our Master Bathroom and had great success. We met with Ben Pitt who coordinated the project- then Yoel was the site coordinator with a wonderful crew of contractors. The work was done SO cleanly and expertly. We simply closed the door to the bedroom and most times didn't know they were there. They cleaned up after themselves and left no mess behind each day. The MyHome office also coordinated with our building's management company and our building super to get permission for the project, etc. Their knowledge of NYC building rules was so valuable. The work was also executed totally on schedule, and they went the extra mile by installing some water pressure regulating valves, etc which were not part of our original agreement. It was obvious that the workers really cared about the work they were doing. I would absolutely return to MyHome for future renovations. more

MyHome did a great job remodeling our office kitchen. Adi was more than accomodating with our small budget. The contractors were professional, friendly, and timely. We are really happy with the new space! more

Terrific Experience 4/13/2011

just completed a kitchen with My Home and was just amazed at how great an experience it was. they were so great with design, they helped us stay in our budget by steering us to attractive but less expensive cabinetry that met our budget, they handled all the work with the building seamlessly, showed up when they said they woudl, finished before they said they would, on budget, and the kitchen is beautiful! you get so used to the horror stories that we were worried going into this and they made it a simple and easy experience - even kept our apartment as clean as they could! highly recommended. more

Best Contractor Ever! 4/9/2011

Good: The customer service they provided was unparalleled in all my experience with any service company - of any type. The Project Manager always replies to my emails with an hour - even a year after the Project has been completed. Their commitment to a satisfied customer is not just lip service - it is REAL!. Bad: Nothing - and I know that sounds hard to believe but this gut kitchen renovation went so smoothly without a single point of contention.. Other: I would STRONGLY URGE you to meet with MyHome and query the competition and their references about how responsive the contractor is after they job is done and they have been paid. I have had 3 - 4 issues in the year and a half since the kitchen was completed and each and every concern was quickly resolved without any hassles whatsoever. Some of the issues were admittedly not the contractor's issue to resolve - but they stepped up and offered to help - at not cost to me. Amazing Service!. more

What a great job. Yoel and Ben worked with my wife and I to gut renovate our kitchen in 2010. They worked their tails off to keep us happy...and boy we were pleased. From top quality design, project support, and everything in between (including a middle of the night freak out), they were there for us. They did a wonderful job for a fair price. I look forward to using them again in the near future. If you want high quality work and design, with a caring team for a fair price - look no further. We get compliments on their work weekly!!! more

Good work 2/4/2011

The renovation of our kitchen and hallway was done very professionally and relatively rapidly. I feel as if I have a whole new apartment with just the work done by My Home. The kitchen is small, so the placement of the appliances and sink remained the same. But the floors, walls, cabinets, and all the finishing details were very carefully installed and completed. The costs remained totally within the original estimate. The workmanship was very high quality, and the workers cleaned up at the end of each day. (It helps if you take a vacation elsewhere during the demolition, as we did.) The only reminder to others would be to take plenty of time before ordering to consider every detail down to the smallest decision about items that need to be purchased (cabinets, shelves, drawers, handles, tiles, etc.) Go to the showroom several times. Get advice and think through exactly what you want. Then you will have a great experience. more

MyHome - Bathroom Renovation 2/2/2011

MyHome did a complete renovation of my bathroom in my 1 bedroom apartment in the summer of 2008. They handle the whole process for me, including working with the building's management to get all the paperwork sorted. The project was done on-time, on budget and I am very pleased with the results. If you are looking for a company to improve your apartment in NYC then I recommend MyHome. more

Great Job! Very Professiona 1/16/2011

I have partially or completely re-modeled apartments several times and have had less than satisfactory experiences with my contractors. They have generally started out just fine, but by the end of the job have gone way over the time promised and the price. Also the quality was not what was hoped for. Ben Pitt and My Home were the happy exception. I had priced my kitchen renovation with contractor's who had worked for friends on the upper west side. After interviews and estimates from 4 I couldn't get my 2 choices to commit to a time. I, also, in all cases, had to do all the legwork of designing and ordering everything. That is when I went to MyHome. They have a well stocked showroom and Ben was able to help us quickly make our choices. His estimates came in tied with the lowest I had been able to get from independent contractors, and he was going to do all the ordering delivering to my apartment. And he said he could do it in the least amount of time of any of my other choices. The job finished sooner than the four week estimate. It exceeded our expectations and former experience. And, all final requests for fixing details that we asked for were done quickly, professionally and better than we had hoped for. We recommended Ben and MyHome to friends, who also redid their kitchen and dining room. They too were very pleased with all aspects of the work. I would strongly recommend Ben Pitt and MyHome more

MyHome Kitchen Renovation 1/13/2011

I hired MyHome to renovate my Gramercy apartment kitchen. It was my first renovation experience ever. The project was stress free, finished on time, on budget and the kitchen looks amazing. My project manager was extremely knowledgeable and was always accessible no matter when I called. I had no clue what cabinets, fixtures, flooring etc. to choose. He put together several options so all I had to do what pick the one I liked. I was also impressed at how smoothly they navigated through the process of coop approvals. I didn't have to do any of the legwork. The contractors were nice, on time and each day left my apartment as clean as it could be under construction. I would highly recommend MyHome and am planning to use them again to renovate my bathroom. more
