Best

I love The Muse, these guys get it. Local bands and/or touring acts all the time. They have a really good selection of beer and other non-alcoholic drinks also their pizza is one...

Worst

Well It's not really my kind of place. There was the weirdest crowd there. Old people, children (yes children!), goths, punks, and an all ladies country band singing in the back. ...

Awesome Venue 5/28/2010

I love The Muse, these guys get it. Local bands and/or touring acts all the time. They have a really good selection of beer and other non-alcoholic drinks also their pizza is one of the best I've had (at least in this state). The price isn't bad either. It's kind of seedy (like CB GB's or something) but that's OK for me. Two thumbs up! Pros: Great Music Atmosphere, Tons of cool people, Great sound Cons: Not the prettiest place more

Great live music!! Enjoyed The Relatives!! 8/8/2008

\r Went with a friend to see a local band here. This was the first time I had seen a place like this. Although it was a bit rough around the edges...the music and the employees more than made up for it. I was VERY impressed with the band ""The Relatives"" that played than night. They were from Nashville. Not only is their sound great but they also put on a fantastic show! The crowd really got into their music! And if their talent wasn't enough...the entire band is made up of a family!!!! A single dad is the drummer and his son ( prob early 20's) plays lead guitar, his other son, who they said was only 9 years old plays base, while the daughter( 14-ish) does most of the vocals. They were great and entertaining as well. The Muse is a good place to find good music! Pros: Great place to hear very talented bands Cons: limited selection of food and drink!!! AC is not great. more

Hmmm 5/26/2008

Well It's not really my kind of place. There was the weirdest crowd there. Old people, children (yes children!), goths, punks, and an all ladies country band singing in the back. Not that this was an issue I just found it odd. It was dirty and way too small. I am not too snobby about my bars, I expect them to be a little grimey but this was just kind of a hole. I had heard great things about it so maybe my expectations were too high. I went with my boyfriend who listens to metal bands and he loved the atmosphere. Not my cup of tea :-) Pros: Easy to find Cons: Dirty, too small, wanted better drink selection more

Awesome atmosphere 1/23/2008

I perform in a band called Serpent's Pool. We have played at the Muse twice now, and are booked for two more shows. We love it there. The employees are real awesome. And the people that come are always really cool. I personally love just going and sitting in the front of the club on their giant leather couch and talking with everybody. more

The Big Concert 1/14/2008

The concert coming in janurary 19th 2008 is going to be battle of the local bands and it will have Bleede Out The Flaws and more Pros: Great Bands Cons: in the projects of nashville more

Best place to see a good rock/metal/hardcore/and even rap show in Nashville!!!!! 12/30/2007

The venue was a bit eh the first time I went this past summer. There was a big crowd with no air,but that is now fixed. They have a wonderful atmosphere and the workers there are great.Yeah the floors were slick but that have cleaned them and it usually gets that way from moshers hitting into people with beer.It is a good small venue that i making a scene. The place is just great to go to for a night out and good music.I am now regular there and go just about every weekend because I love it so much. Also they do not have hard liquor but their beer and other beverage choice is priced very good. Pros: awesome people and music.good seating and a good location. Cons: can tend to be crowded when a big show is going on. more

Dead Air Radio saved the night 9/9/2007

When it comes to dives... this place is the dive-y-est. A business that promotes live music should take better care of the musicians who are there to play. I saw DEAD AIR RADIO this weekend. It's a good thing they are solid musicians with adaptability, because they played their first two songs basically in the dark and the sound/house guy nowhere to be found. If the back bone of your business is to bring in local rockers, then treat them right and at least let them see the instuments on which they are playing! The only saving factor to have a good time there is if DEAD AIR RADIO plays, they rocked even though the venue sucked. Cons: poor house mix on music, poor lighting, no seating in the music room. more

Mostly teeny boppers and early 20 somethings! 9/2/2007

I've been there quite of few times, and it's always the same thing. Young girls showing out and acting like they own the place and hanging all over the boys in the band. The bar is pathetic, limited beer selection only, no liquor at all. Not to mention the lack of adequate air flow, no A/C what so ever!\r It's a good place to go see local bands play. But, prepare to pay a cover charge of $5, usually. I would not recommend this place to anyone except the fact that some talented local bands usually get a break here and are easily booked. It's not for the person who's expecting to meet someone special, unless you're 17-22 years old! Pros: The heavy local bands! Cons: Crawling with teenage girls that have tons of attitude! more

Metal Music in Nashville 8/23/2006

The Muse is the best place in Nashville for Metal Music, the best show i've seen have been there!\r They've redesigned most of the place and adde a lot of new stuff to it, the air conditioning is actually comfortable now there.. The Muse Rocks! m/ Pros: Great Atmosphere, Great Place to Hang Out, Great Place to See Metal Shows Cons: Small Parking Lot, No Food, Rachel Has a Country Accent more

Kung Fu - Why not? 6/1/2005

I've seen a lot of really good old school classic rock, break-beat funk, live band/DJ drum&bass, electronica & raggae shows there. The straight-edge scene isn't what I am referring to, but you gotta give everyone a chance to play. Multi-genre for sure, simply call them up and ask for when the next certain type of music you like will be playing, they'll know. Very, very indie. Pros: Beer, Chicks, Music Cons: straight-edge kids, straight-edge shows, bring toilet paper more

atmosphere atmosphere atmosphere!!! 8/31/2004

You won't find a better atmosphere in any club in Tennessee! Not to mention that they host some of THE BEST rock bands that you've never heard of. (and some that you have) If you want an average everyday rock show, go to 328 or Exit/In. If you wanna try something different, try the MUSE!!! They don't serve liquor, but there's plenty of beer. Pros: great atmosphere, friendly staff, fresh talent Cons: , inadequate AC, no liquor more

good for the scene 5/17/2004

this venue definitely is creating a metalcore buzz around nashville. many other places have tried (328), but they haven't accomplished like this. they have regulars at every concert and bring people like me driving hours to the venue. Pros: high energy, good underground buzz, atmosphere Cons: , poor stage lighting, slick floors more

Rock on! 5/8/2004

I wound up there by a pure fluke last night, but have always wanted to go. I was reluctant to pay a $10 cover charge for this night... but, then again, I never really want to spend 10 bucks when it's all I have. But the music was great, the atmosphere was great, and when it was all over I had a great time just relaxng in the lounge and chatting with a few people. more

Eh... 6/20/2003

I've been there once, and I don't really look forward to going back. It's not bad, it's just not for me. The cafe part seems great, and the lounge section. I spent my evening in the venue area, where it gets HOT! They close the doors, and the only air is a big fan. If it wasn't for my friend's band playing I would have been upset about paying an $8 cover and paying $4 for a non alcoholic drink! Pros: Cafe, Lounge, Fun evironment Cons: Hot more
