Our experience with Murray Callan 6/11/2012

Our experience with Murray Callan actually started in October 2008 when my son was three months old. Brett was our instructor. We were only able to complete about three lessons because my son developed such bad eczema that we has to stop our lessons. We were said to stop and we were so anxious to get back into the pool. We returned in March 2011. My son cried the first two lessons then all of a sudden it clicked and he loved swimming. more

Our daughter has been taking classes at 6/7/2012

Our daughter has been taking classes at Murray Callan consistently for over a year now. She enjoys each time she swims with her instructor Hailee and the few times that she has swam with other instructors here. I feel that not only our daughter would know what to do if she fell into a pool, but she has gained self confidence in her achievements as a swimmer on several occasions while in a pool (outside of her swim lessons). We ve received compliments on how well her form is and on her ability to control her breathing. We are very pleased with her performance and would highly recommend this facility to others. Thank you for teaching her one of her most important skills of her life. P.S. Hailee deserves a raise!! :) more

We've bringing our daughter to Murray Callan for 5 years and we love it here! The teacher are really attentive to the students needs, the front office staff is super responsive and knowledgeable and we love coming here. We recommend this school to all our friends with children of any age. more

My Three Kids 5/14/2012

All three of our children have taken lessons at Murray Callan. I would highly recommend them to anyone. The method they use is highly effective. Our older two children are very good swimmers and our youngest is on her way! The instructors are so good with the kids, very patient and tolerant. The staff is very friendly and helpful I feel really at ease when my children are around a pool. more

Amazed 4/30/2012

I had my 2 year old with me in the pool while on vacation in Palm Springs, there wasn't one parent who wasn't impressed with his swimming ability. They were amazed that he was able to dive, swim and pull himself up out of the pool all without my help! Best one is when he dives with me to the bottom to pick up his toy. more

They know what they are doing! 4/24/2012

Our first child started this program at 9 months of age and I can't even tell you how good that was for him. He is now 7 and he is totally water safe and almost ready for competitive swimming. These guys know what they are doing! I can't remember for sure, but I think it's 4 generations there. The instructors are patient and skilled whether your child is already a fish or if they are afraid of the water. Do your child a HUGE favor and start them early...and start them here! more

Perfect 4/17/2012

I have been taking my 2 and 1/2 yr. old here since she was 6 months. She is extremely temperamental and a little firecracker so her coach can not be a pushover what so ever. She has been swimming with Coach Brett since she was about 11 months. He is the perfect accomplice to this mission of teaching her how to swim and teaching both of us how to trust and handle the direction of a coach . There is a lot of work that goes into the filtration and purity and protection of the water as well as the gentle but repetitive swimming approach that will have your little one comfortable in the water. We live by the beach,my husband is a surfer ,and we spend a lot of time by or in the water. This is the best investment to assure your child can hold their own in the water , not to mention it really builds up their self esteem and confidence at a young age. This place has made parenting so much fun and has taught me a lot in the meantime. more

Love this place! 4/12/2012

Loved this place! My kids felt very comfortable when they were there and became water safe is such a short time. I'm so glad I took them there. The instructors were completely professional and showed their knowledge of both swimming and of how to handle kids. Not sure why other reviewers have issues with their policies. They are very clear about the rules and the procedures. This school came highly recommended by other local moms and I will be sure to pass on the recommendations. more

The lessons have been great. My kids are doing more than ever before and they've learned quickly. It's obviously an effective teaching style and the school has lots of experience. I'm so grateful that my kids are actually swimming now, not just splashing around but timidly. So glad we found this place! Pros: learn to swim more

We love MCSS. My 2 year old daughter has been going for over a year. We were not planning to keep her in swim lessons for so long, but she loves it so much that we are still going. We are constantly amazed at how well she can swim at such a young age and are thankful that we found this fantastic swim school. It is a popular place, so the summers are busy. The parking is not that bad; I don't find it a big deal to walk from the neighboring parking lot in the summer months. The staff are also very nice and helpful. I think they have a pretty tough job with keeping the schedules organized, and I understand why they are strict with keeping kids on a 3 days per week routine in the summer. I would definitely recommend this swim school. Pros: Great swim instruction, warm water, nice staff Cons: Crowded in the summer more

warm and inviting 4/16/2010

My husband and I have been impressed since the beginning. After being at Muray Callan for 4 months, we have learned alot about what constitutes good swimming - it turns out that relaxed people of all ages will swim better. The swim coaches really work hard to relax kids in their warm pool so that they will be comfortable and successful. This school knows what their doing and we are so happy to be customers. We plan to keep coming with our kids and to keep telling our friends.\r more

I have 2 kids and they came to Murray Callan 8 months ago with very little swimming experience. We tried other schools but we finally found the right one. Over the past 8 months, my kids have become extremely comfortable with the water and are learning to swim the long way across the pool. I can’t believe how much they have learned. I know that the instructors and the very warm water have helped them advance so quickly. We are getting ready for their spring break from school and I am so excited for them to show off their new skills in the water. more
