Pricks, especially the old, short, fat 60ish turd. Younger fellas are OK.

Editorial review from Citysearch 6/20/2016

Just bought a handgun at Murphy's today and I want to say it was a great experience. I had never owned a handgun before and the sales guy, Alex, was terrific, as friendly, patient, knowledgeable, and helpful as you could ever want. Thanks, Murphy's! more

No customer service 2/2/2012

The place is usually pretty busy. Hard to get help with a smile.Pretty rude people to tell you the truth.I will not go back. I get treated very good at Sportsmans and Dicks. A smile goes a long way! more

I have bought and sold guns to Brian [Murph] for 30 years, and his honesty and Gun Smithing skills have always been outstanding.I have recommended his store to others, even if I no longer live in Tuson.I would like to have some of the guns that have passed thru our hands over the years. more

Good selection and helpful 4/3/2009

I have always gotten great service and helpful assistance when shopping here. Great used selection and decent prices. Have noticed that if you walk in here with a chip on your shoulder they don't give you the time of day, but if you go in with a good attitude you get great service. Pros: Example: best croissants in town Cons: What are the drawbacks? more

Tool 3/24/2009

So I order an FN FAL and choose this place as the FFL. He sends the rifle back saying it's ""full auto"" pfffft, those are pretty hard to obtain, and the vendor does not offer on the site anything full auto. So obviously he doesn't know his weapons well enough to know that the upper is required to make a FAL a full auto the lower and the selector will not do it alone. Almost all FAL sold in the US will have what appears to be an ""A"" position on the selector. It will not enable ""A"". So now I have a rifle in limbo, it's somewhere between him and the vendor in shipping. The person I spoke to about this was basically belligerant towards me. I am not the problem here, his ignorance could be. Pros: misses the messenger Cons: Shoots the messenger more

Murphy's : Highest Prices, Lowest Quality of Service 1/5/2009

When I started shopping at Murphy's prices were okay and service was pretty good. Over the last couple years they have completely lost my custom because of a holier-than-though attitude and complete disregard for anyone who'd come in and spend less than 1,000 dollars. After my last experience I will never shop at Murphy's again. Spend your money at one of Tucson's other firearm retailers, they'll treat you much better than Murphy's. Pros: Good Memories Cons: Attitude, price, lack of variety, cluttered, dirty. more

jerks 12/31/2008

I agree 100% with earlier post I've done two COMBAT tours in Iraq and you have to wave $5k in their face to get them to talk to you even then they act like they are doing you a favor selling you a used weapon at jacked up prices decent location and normal supply for a gun shop but complete +++heads who work there they need to get girls or I'll work there and I'll wear a smile on my face for minimum wage AND I know more about most modern combat weapon systems shop there if you want but expect to leave ticked off!!! Pros: decent selection Cons: the guys working there have no people skills more

Worst service in town! 11/5/2008

The people who work here are horribly unfriendly. They act as if it were a burden for them to answer your questions and treat you as if you were stupid for asking. Completly unhelpful staff. Prices were nothing special. I deffinitely wont be going back here. Pros: Easy place to find. Cons: Horrible people. more

Great everything 9/8/2008

Murphy's is my favorite gun shop in town. They have great selection and fair pricing. I usually find what I am looking for right away. The people are also very helpful and friendly. more
