I guess I should 'eat pizza from else where and not complain' but the office orders the pizza and, hey, it's a free lunch! So here's my 2 cents: the crust is so thin, you could us...

Just NYC 4/11/2011

I always have a great slice here. It is true NYC thin sliced pizza. Never fails to please me. I like either the plain cheese or peppori. I never have had the pasta here but it does look good on other tables! more

Totally Disappointing! 12/25/2010

We ordered pizza &salad delivered. Pizza was tasteless - artichoke. They charged $1.00 more than their online menu fot each item. They would not honor their published prices. The pizza, salad and $5.00 tip toalled a whopping $45.00! This place used to make great pizza. NOT ANY MORE! When I told them I would not order from them again, they just said OK and hung up. AVOID THS PLACE! PEOPLE ARE RUDE, THEY DON'T HONOR THEIR OWN PUBLISHED PRICES, AND THE PIZZA WAS HORRIBLE. more

Not Your Average Chain 6/1/2010

Co-owned by actress Cathy Moriarty (yes, the one from Raging Bull), Mulberry Pizza attracts movie moguls with their larger-than-life pizzas (literally...these are large pies). While thin-crusted, topped with fresh vegetables and white and red sauces, Mulberry's almost too good to be true pizzas are definitely worthy of some lip-licking action. more

My Vote is the pizza that tastes LEAST like NY Pizza 7/5/2009

If I could give this pizza a minus five stars, I would. After seeing this place on the food channel, my husband and I drove from San Diego. We are both New Yorkers. I have to say that this pizza was the worst pizza I've ever eaten. The crust is like a cracker and bland. I don't see what all the fuss is about. It boggles my mind that anyone who has EVER tasted pizza from NY would even consider that this flat boring bland pizza would even compare to the JOY your mouth tastes when eating pizza in the Big Apple. I dare any New Yorker to look me in the face and actually believe it when they say this pizza is good pizza. FORGEDABBOUTIT!!! How sad! Pros: Staff was friendly Cons: BLAND, DRY, FLAVORLESS, NOT NEW YORK IN ANY WAY! more

Best freakin' N.Y. styly pizza anywhere. 7/9/2008

What can I say? This is a great pizza joint with great service. I recommend ordering a pizza with extra cheese and extra mushrooms...fantastic! Pros: Pizza, ambience, staff more

Really, really average 5/6/2008

I am amazed at what people will accept as the standard for pizza in Los Angeles. With so many places making so little effort, Mulberry street half-asses it's way to the top. Not impressive by any standard except for the fact that no one seems to be interested in doing any better; maybe Joe Peeps in the valley for the NY style aspect. What really kills it for me is the lack of respect that the employees have for what they do. The tables out front are always uncleared and as filthy as the unswept sidewalk. Inside isn't much better, and the lack of concern or interest by anyone that works there is enough to put me off. more

Celeb haunt for only one reason = Closest thing to real NY pizza you will find in LA 3/25/2008

Simply put, this is the only restaurant in Los Angeles that knows how to make NY pizza, which, contrary to what any Cubs fan will tell you, is the only real pizza. Everything else is just a shadow. Well worth going just to see all the autographed celebs pictures on the wall going back decades. more

For Los Angeles - Very Good Pizza 1/13/2008

In terms of pizza places in Los Angeles, Mulberry Street Pizzeria is in the top class. The pizza tastes 60%-70% as good as it does in New Jersey (east coast), and with how bad most places are here, that's really really good. If you know good pizza (i.e., if you didn't grow up in Los Angeles), then you will think that Mulberry is about as well as you can do here. The slice prices are disgustingly high, but so are everyone else's in town. The staff doesn't make you think of old Italy, but again, neither does the staff in any other pizza joint in town. Pros: Pizza 60-70% as good as in the east. Cons: Another LA slice that's $1.50 overpriced. Only canned soda. more

Decent, Nothing Special 12/18/2007

It's a good location and if you're like me, any pizza is good pizza. So yes I'd go, but if you actually care, it's not great. Crust/Bread is very bland, not enough cheese, and I can't pinpoint what else is wrong but it's definitely not the greatest of quick by-the-slice pizzerias. Pros: Location, Convenience Cons: Taste's O-K. more

Who you kiddin'? 11/29/2007

I hate to burst everyone's bubble here, but Mulberry Street's pizza is just okay. I'm surprised at all the rave reviews--I do like the atmosphere and the NY Posts on the counter, but as far as the pizza goes, it's just another of LA's bafflingly poor attempts to recreate a slice that can be found on practically every street corner in NYC and Philadelphia. Is it bad? No. But is it ""awesome"" or even ""so good?"" Hardly. Obviously these reviewers haven't taken their tastebuds East for a while. Go, have fun, read Page Six, but if your hopes are too high, prepare to say ""eh."" Pros: Authentic atmosphere and reading material. Cons: Yet another of LA's average pies. more

Yumm 11/22/2007

I adore Mulberry Street! The pizza is awesome, the staff is great, and you really don't feel like you're in LA when you go there. Their chopped salad is excellent. more

The BEST Pizza in Los Angeles!!! 2/25/2007

The pizza at this joint is unparallel to any other pizza place in LA. I have tried pizza from many restaurants in LA - and nothing compares to this pizza! I don't know what it is.... I heard they ship in water from the east coast for the dough. In any case, whatever they're doing - it works, and the pizza TASTES GREAT. Every single time I've eaten it fresh - or had a pie delivered - I am in heaven. I really only order one thing - simply order the cheese pizza - and throw on small amounts of garlic powder, parmesan, crushed red pepper, and a little oregano - and it's really a wonderful treat. I can now finally tell the difference between bad, mediocre pizza in LA, and great pizza in LA - thank god for Mulberry St! Definitely a stand out. Everyone should learn the difference. Once you do - you won't go back to bad pizza! Pros: Pizza, Pizza, Pizza.... Cons: N/A more
