Muffler Man

It's pretty good when the company has to write reviews on their own business. I would strongly suggest you NOT do any business with Ionia muffler man. They can't even do a simple oil change without screwing up a customers car. Now we need a new motor after a $15 oil change. Oh and under new management again. There's a reason this place keeps changing hands and its not a good reason. \r \r Just like the previous post, the new management will say they are not shady like the previous management. How many times does it take to make the same business a successful one, with good customer service? With Ionia muffler man.......... WE will NEVER know! This place needs to be shut down and turned into a parking lot. I will be calling the BBB and will be filing suite against them. more

I first read the first and only review and I have heard some bad stories about previous owners. I hope that all who read these reviews would understand that my family will not work the way of the previous owners. The auto repair is full of these greedy money grubbing shops that give all the honest hard working shops that do great work for a fair price a bad name. THER IS ONLY ONE STAR BECAUSE I HAD TO RATE THIS JOKE OF A SHOP IN ORDER TO PUBLISH THIS, THEY DON'T HAVE MINUS STARS, OR THIS PLACE WOULD BE -10000000000. took my truck in for a broken wiper, told i needed a ""transmission"" for it, it would take 1 to 1and 1/2 hours to install it. when i went the next day to get it installed, they acted very surprised i was going to wait for it, 10 minutes later i was done. asked for some of the labor back (charged me 90.00) got snickered at, didn't see my part, nor was i offered it back. took it to 3 different shops after this, EVERYONE SAID ALL THEY DID WAS TIGHTEN A BOLT. This bolt cost me $328.23. went back, a week later and told them i wanted my money back, the gentelman got very angry with me, showed me a part longer than my truck, told me that was mine. (there is a 75.00 core charge according to them, yet the part was there a week later, hummmm). asked for the owners name and phone number, and no one would give it to me. so it's under new ownership, but still the same shady business going on. i'll go back to Geldholf's, where they are honest to a fault. they are right down the road, and they explain everything to you, and don't screw you. the best part is, the man working on my truck, (i asked them to check and see if i needed new tires), told me i needed 3, and called his ""buddy"" 20 miles away, i could get all 4 tires for the low price of 650.00 with his buddy. i went to a tire place, i didn't need any tires, and if i did, they would have been 475.00 installed, with a free front end aligment. however, that mechanic told me i didn't need them, and wouldn't until about next year at this time. AND THIS WAS A SHOP MAKING THERE MONEY OFF OF TIRES. THIS SHOP IS A JOKE, MAYBE YOUR MUFFLER MAN IS BETTER, BUT AFTER THIS, I'LL NEVER GO TO ANOTHER ONE..........
