Mt Hood Lanes Inc is Not worth the five minute drive 7/7/2009

It looked like a regular bowling alley, just old, when I walked In all but a few lanes were open, they must have had 30-35 lanes all together, I went to get shoes, but the guy behind the counter told me that it was league night, no bowling between 7 and 11, I said but it's 5:15, he replied the lanes are all waxed and ready, wait for the other parties to finish or come back another night. We drove to big al's the food rocked, and I didn't have to wait until the next day. Mt hood is nothing special, they shouldn't be turning away new paying customers... Not when big al's is so much better. Very happy they sent. My business away! more

Mt Hood Lanes Inc is Not worth my time 7/7/2009

I wanted to take my family out for fun, The lanes were clean an pretty atmosphere somewhat drab, but the guy said we had to wait 45 min for one of the four families occupying the only 4 lanes open to finish. Not sure how they stay in business at the rate they turn people away the leagues must pay handsomely. I took my family to glowing mini golf instead, it was really cool for the kids and I only had to drive a bit farther, I will not waste my time on this dive again, big al's is not too far for me to go to bowl if I must. more

Clean Family Fun 5/20/2009

This place is very clean. They totally redid this place. The prices are high, but they do have specials. The food is good and they bring it to you. I really like it. more

Great bowling 5/5/2009

My league bowls there on Tuesday nights and we have a blast! The food is really good and the bar is lots of fun. For those with little kids they have automatic bumpers that go up and down for each bowler! more

Best bowling alley in the Portland area! 8/3/2007

This bowling alley is on a par with Big Al's in Vancouver, Washington. It doesn't have the fancy restaurant, but the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and the guy at the pro shop is one of the few people in the Portland area that knows how to properly drill a bowling ball. This bowling alley is the only place I know of in the Portland area that uses the same high end automatic scoring system as Big Al's. Open bowling is $2.50 per game normally but this place has a lot of specials on bowling.\r \r Oh, and the entire facility is 100% smoke free! Yay! Too bad other bowling alleys aren't smart enough to do this. It would increase their business significantly. Pros: 100% Smoke Free, Very low per game prices, Friendly and knowledgeable staff, Best pro shop in Portland area Cons: None! more
