Four bucks for a movie that maybe stop playing in other theaters a month or two ago! Unlike Regal this a locally owned and operated and staff is much more friendly.

Best Theatre Around 1/25/2009

We RARELY go to a movie anywhere else. Why would we when we can wait a couple of months to see it at Mt. Hood Theatre, or rent it from Netflix. It is a very comfortable, family friendly place. Huge, old, beautiful nostalgic theatre. I LOVE it. SO cheap. For $4 you can see two movies. I think popcorn is $3 for large? Pros: antique setting, comfortable, friendly, large auditorium, not too warm, not too cold, cheap, great movie selection Cons: mmmmmm.... NONE more

A classic, cheap 2nd run theatre! 11/12/2008

I wait for almost every movie to come to the Hood Theater. They arrive prior to hitting video. The new owners have spent the last few years making some great renovations. What was once a bit of a dive is really becoming a great facility. They have added a great high-end sound system, new seating on the lower level, a new marquee, and fresh paint(even a great ceiling mural). PRICES ARE AWESOME! $3 to see a double feature and the food is inexpensive. You can see two movies and get popcorn and a soda for roughly what it would cost for just an adult ticket at a Regal/Century theater. Talk about value 12/8/2006

The Mt. Hood Theatre is great. The staff is polite, the tickets are cheap, the goodies are reasonable, the screen is good, and the theatre itself is nostalgic and inviting. It is hard to complain when you can see two fairly recently released movies for less than half the price of ONE movie in a corporate theater. Majestic Affordability 8/23/2002

The theater has wonderfully worn movie seats. The theater that you remember as a child. A huge place with a giant screen. It's a wonderful place to see a movie or two. The refreshment stand has a refillable large popcorn! What a treat when seeing two movie. The staff is very friendly. Pros: Affordable, Friendly, Two Movies! What a Wonderful Deal 6/24/2002

This is a perfect place for a great inexpensive date! Shows the movies that you meant to get to when they first came out, before they are realeased on video. Costs just as much as renting the video and that's for the double features! more
