This doctors office is absolutely horrible!!!! Every other patient is a pill head going there for one thing! My son has went there for years with a blood disorder and is unable to have a fever. If so, he has to be seen immediately. We waited 3 hours for him to be seen while the pill head "re-uped" on their drugs. After asking nicely several times to be seen first, I told them exactly what I thought of them. They then denied my son his antibiotic refill that keeps him leaving a healthy and safe life! After 16 years of dealing with my sons issue.........NO ONE HAS REFUSED HIM an antibiotic but they did. I had to take him to the hospital to be seen because the pill head doctor Mr. Smith did see fit to help him but was happy to help all the pill head that fill his practice. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILD THERE. more

Reporting to DEA 7/13/2013

Im a nurse who can spot a "pill seeker" in a minute!!! EVERYTIME I've been to that god forsaking place, im one person sitting in a waiting room with 30 jittery drug addicts, there to get there candy. He knows addicts spread word about which doctors will prescribe strong narcotic pain medicines, and he gets more dope seeking customers that keep coming back! I also know 2 people that have come to him for colds or other infections and the end up leaving with a strong narcotic. One of these people I knowI is a full-blown drug addict now and she says its because he was the one pushing strong narcotic pain medicines on her. That's his plan and he initiates it well over and over.... because he knows repeat customers only happen when they are addicted, so if you have the once in a year sinus infection, he's not interested.... but if he can make you a repeat monthly customer, coming in there every month getting oxy's or morphine, that is exactly what he will do in order to make you a dedicated and loyal customer. I have gathered information from some supervisors at work, & I am going to be reporting him to the DEA more

Could be better 7/30/2009

Good: What i liked was Dr. Smith wasnt too nosey about my past, i'm going for suboxone and i'm ready to look for the future for recovery. I was a hardcore junkie but now im better, he's a quick in and out guy.. Bad: Ok, what i didnt like... The staff are bitch's except for a blonde woman named Denise. The wait is kinda long but once you go back then your in and out in 5 mins. Theres alot of pill fiends getting pills there AND ITS HARD FOR ME TO SEE AS A FORMOR PILL ADDICT!. Improvements: I'd like to see friendlier staff and the pill heads hide their addiction alittle better lol. Maybe Dr. Smith could act like he cares alittle more when something is really wrong.. Other: Overall DR.Smith is a good dr if you need help without all the hastle and BS other dr's give you. Ive only seen him for suboxone but he's a good dr in my opinion. OH AND THE OTHER PERSON THAT COMMENTED ABOUT HOW BAD HE IS, YOUR FULL OF SHIT. Make an appointment and see for yourself.. more

No Bedside Manner Doctor In Mount Holly 11/10/2005

This is the poorest excuse for a doctor. He has no compassion and bedside manners what so ever. He is one of those Doctors that is only out to make money. I have been going to this practice for nearly 6 years ONLY because of his physicians assistants. Every time I ve had to go to the doctor and the PA wasnt available and I had to see Dr. Micheal Smith I have had mostly unpleasant experiences with him he cares about nothing you have to say, once I went there for a sinus infection and ear pressure he let me tell him about my symptoms of the SI and ear pressure but I also wanted to discuss briefly with him about my diabetes. He stopped me dead in my tracks and proceeded to tell me that he has approxiamately 2 minutes with each patient and that if I wanted to discuss anything other than what I was there for I needed to make another appointment, needless to say my appointment was at 3:15pm and he didnt take me back until 4:20pm .I have always had to wait for an hour plus on him. Also the staff is not the friendliest either. His physicians assistant Ron Kirkpatrick has left the practice and I will also be doing that too. I will be looking for another family physician for my family of 5. more
