Editorial review from Citysearch 8/9/2012

After taking my English Mastiff to Dr. Neubauer about 9 months ago, I will never go anywhere else. My Mastiff had 2 torn ACL's and the emergency vets and other vets were pushing surgery on both knees - not only would it be extremely expensive, but also dangerous to but a 6 year giant breed dog under for surgery. Assuming the surgery would have been successful, she would have likely developed arthritis sooner than she would without surgery. Feeling completely torn on what to do, I took my dog to Dr. Neubauer. Never have I seen a doctor spend so much time not only assessing the problem, but also spending time explaining everything to me - pros, cons, reasoning behind his thoughts, and answering all of my million questions. He told me that it would be a process - a long process - but the best thing to do was to start with getting my dog on an all natural diet. Once we had her in the best health possible diet wise, we'd work on the ACL tears. Over the past 9 months, my dog has gone from being 160lbs of dead weight - unable to do anything but ""scoot"" to running around the yard at ease with my Great Dane. Twice a week visits to see Dr. Neubauer, the right food, the right combination of herbs and supplements, and of course, lots of TLC, have done wonders. I have since referred 5 friends to this practice who have also had wonderful success in treating their pets. I am so thankful to have found Dr. Neubauer and his wonderful staff - I will never take my pets anywhere else. more

fantastic!!! 1/9/2011

I haven't found a vet I loved for several years. After looking on here, and seeing all the reviews, I decided to go see Dr. Neubauer with my practically ferile cat. After calling and making an appointment, we were going to see Dr. Early. After seeing him- I am completely sold on this practice!!! Even though my cat spit and hissed at him, he worked slowly with her and let her get comfortable. Past vets have pulled out leather gloves meant for working with raptors, and have shown fear. Dr. Early was patient and caring. He took the time and listened to all of our concerns. He spoke to us about various options, and clearly was not trying to milk us for money- but genuinely cared about what is best for our situation. I haven't felt this relieved after meeting a vet... EVER! more

Dr. Neubauer 7/15/2010

I recently started bringing my 2 cats and dog to Dr. Neubauer and I have been extremely pleased with my experiences there. Dr. Neubauer is just wonderful. He has always given my pets and I his undivided attention and is very helpful whenever I have questions. Other vets I've been to have ALWAYS given me the run around and Never directly answer my questions. I have complete trust in Dr. Neubauer and highly recommend his practice. Pros: very knowledgeable and compassionate more

The best vet I have ever met 4/15/2009

I am from Brazil and is a tradition to use alternative medicine in my country. A friend that had 2 cats with leukemia indicated Dr Neubauer. The first cat I brought had FIV and was a rescued cat with a blindly respiratory infection that wouldn't go away for over 3 months. The first vet wanted to put Robin down. But I insisted and treated him with antibiotics until despair. Dr Neubauer prescribed him a serum made in Germany, 4 pills during 4 weeks, one pill per week. On the second week, Robin was dry and sound, like a normal cat. I gave him a second pill and that was it. Dr. Neubauer treated Robin back in 2005 and since them, he has been my official vet. In December I found out that my baby cat that will be 10 years old in July 2009, had bladder stones and her BUN was 37, what would be the start of kidney failure. We changed diet for urinary SO and gave her a pill during 60 days. I came back, the BUN was down only to 36 and we could still see the 2 tiny stones. Then Dr. Neubauer changed to Hydrangea pill, and during 40 days I kept her on diet and the pill. (note that I had her on the diet during 4 months and nothing changed). Then last week I went back to ex-rays and tests: her BUN is 29 and no signs of bladder stones. I took her to another vet for the X-rays, and before seeing the results I told him about the Hydrangea pills and he was very skeptical. Then after test results, he could not explain why? I know that dr Neubauer is my hero, a very competent and loving professional. He will be my vet for life. I have 8 cats, and I rescue cats. I will tell everyone about my 2 miracles. Pros: His great professionalism and kindness to pets and owner Cons: it is far from my house but worth the trip more

Dr. Neubauer is the best homeopathic vet in town, and my two 16 year cats sensed his calming & caring manner, on their first visit! 7/16/2008

Dr. Neubauer is the best homeopathic vet in Cincinnnati area! He was hospitable for our first visit and our cats sensed his calmng presence when he entered the examining room. This is the fifth vet they have seen in their sixteen years, and this is the best reaction I have seen from my cats, out of all the vets that has handled them. While we waited in the room, for him to arrive, he had classical music to calm the animals. Dr. Neubauer was very gentle, very thorough and took his time to know them. He wanted to know their eating habits, took a thorough history, and took time to listen to their care givers concerns. He loves his profession and is a gentle and caring veterinarian! Pros: Caring, thorough, and hosptiable! more
