You know you've scored when the sushi place is in a strip mall. We walked through the imposing door into a dark, expansive, disheveled, but clean restaurant. Dark wood everywhere. Big sushi bar in the middle. Grumpy but older / experienced sushi chef in the middle of his big bar. Two overly busy waitresss scurried around. We sat in the back - had a cozy and quiet meal - that was excellent. The sushi was fresh and prepared with care. The kitchen food was excellent. The service was a little spotty, but we found out later that the owner was short staffed because she didn't expect Sunday night to be busy. Highly recommended.
