Good Job but Deceptive 11/5/2013

Chad presented as very friendly and personable... Gave me some helpful tips on how to handle future garbage disposal problems. However, when he was under the sink performing the repair, he said "Looks like this water line was installed improperly. I'll go ahead and fix that for you." Based on his phrasing, I thought he was just being nice and helpful, but NO... He ended up charging me an extra $60 for a non-essential repair. I may have chosen to adjust the piping anyway, but the questionable way in which this was handled went unappreciated. Also not on time. more

The drain in the kitchen sink had a big crack and hole in it. Jeff from Mr. Rooter Plumbing came in and understood what I was talking about when I explained it to him. My favorite thing was the set prices system, which was just beautiful. Also, Jeff was good at what he did, funny, and courteous. My cat even liked him! It didn't take him long to do it, and he pointed out how to save me money by taking the cabinet apart myself (easy). He helped me avoid charges and know in advance what I was getting into. more

Very professional 8/20/2013

Mr Rooter Plumbing were real professional and everything worked out fine. Any questions you had or even if you didn't have any, he would tell everything you needed to know. He'd give you the stuff to help with your equipment. He'd help you if you had any problems. more

Fast service, excellent work, very trustworthy 6/8/2013

We've used Mr. Rooter of Orange and Alamance Counties (also called Preferable Plumbing) for five different jobs (2 emergency jobs, 3 nonemergency jobs) over about 4 years, and we have always been very impressed with them. Richard Knapp, the owner, is very knowledgeable, explains things well, and makes sure the jobs are done correctly. One of his assistant plumbers has also done excellent work for us, and has been very patient and made sure we understood what he was doing and why (and he even played fetch with our dog :-)). One of my favorite things about this business is that they are available 24/7, seven days a week, AND they don't charge extra for weekend work or for emergency work! Two Saturdays ago we found our hot water tank leaking at 8:30 AM, so we called Mr. Rooter and they got someone out there right away and got us fixed up. Another nice thing is that they quote you a price before they start the work, and then even if the work involves more parts and/or labor than they thought it would (this happened on the hot water tank job), they still charge the quoted price. Oh, and they are generous with discount coupons, too. Weve lived in our house 29 years and had some bad experiences with previous plumbers, so we're very happy to finally find one we can trust to take great care of us. We highly recommend them to anyone! more

Outstanding Customer Service! 2/2/2013

These guys are probably two of the most professional repairmen I have ever had the pleasure of working with at my home. They were something of a rarity, professional! Richard & Blaire arrived on time, gave me a quote, assessed the situation and completed the job. They gave me preventative tips, inventoried the home plumbing connections and even offered future support and ideas for home improvement! These guys rocked it old school, from their uniforms,(clean & neat) to their repair truck,(stocked) they will go highly recommended to my neighbors and friends! My dog took a shine and they were throwing her ball for her when my arm gave out! Pricing is fair, and the membership plan saves you even more. I appreciated the 'Flat-Rate' pricing and feel like seniors in my neighborhood would not be taken advantage of. I really enjoyed the experience and found it to be a refreshing take on something as excruciating as finding trustworthy and reliable plumbing service for your home.Thanks guys! more

This was my first time using Mr. Rooter Plumbing. I called other companies and decided to call them because they could come out soon. They came quickly, and after discussing the issue I felt comfortable with how he was going to approach the problem. He was there on time. They did the work and I have no complaints. more

Takes care of you and takes personal interest in you and your house. 11/13/2012

I have a plan with Mr. Rooter Plumbing that includes my house and three others. We went on the plan because he gives us immediate service and emergency service. If we call him for something in particular and he sees something else that needs fixing, he will take care of that too. It's a total service. more

We've had Mr. Rooter Plumbing come out two times. Our hot water heater gave out suddenly, so we called them in the afternoon and they came the same night around 8:30 pm. The next day, they showed up right on time at 10:30 to put it in. They were very friendly. more

Prioritizes Customer Satisfaction 3/7/2012

After clearing out a toilet clog the plumbers came back not once, but twice, to fix a secondary issue they did not cause. We really appreciated their dedication and commitment to our satisfaction. We were treated with courtesy and professionalism throughout the entire process and their work was quality. We feel strongly that we received a good value for our money and were treated well. This is the only plumbing company we will call. Great service. 3/6/2012

We moved into our house about two years ago, and the house had been empty for year's. After we moved in we found a lot of water problems. Dana from Mr. Rooter Plumbing has been absolutely wonderful. Anytime something goes wrong he is here. He is going to put in two hot water heaters and a water filtration system for us. He has come out late at night, early in the morning, and in the rain. We have used him 5 or 6 times since we moved in. more
