I did a lot of online research into well-rated San Mateo moving companies and known as a number of movers for quotes. Moving Services of America gave me the best hourly rate, and that i decided to go with them. The three movers were on time, very professional, and very helpful. They completed my move to a new studio in lust a few hours, and everything arrived within fine condition. The charge at the end of the move was as decided, although there were a few additional $10 charges for shrink-wrap for the couch and a bag for the chair. Overall, Moving Services of America made moving day manageable. Five stars and that i would definitely recommend them. more

Recently i hired Moving Services of America to help me with my move. They made a stressful experience smooth and easy. The first thing that impressed me about Moving Services of America, is that the owner, personally came to my apartment to make the estimate. In all the many years of living in San Mateo and all the moves I've made, this was the first time that the owners has taken the time and care to can even make sure I was being taken care of. Your day of my move, the men that came to move me were so wonderful. They were polite and courteous and were extremely careful wonderful my belongings. Not only was the move fast and painless, but the estimate I was given held true after the move. I have already recommended Manor to many of my friends and coworkers and I will use them myself on my small next move. You really can't go wrong with this company! more

It had been my first move, so naturally I've lot and lots of questions, and all were answered patiently by the very patient Christi who won my company with the professionalism. Every little detail she provided and my husband when we conference called in regards to the hourly price and extra price of supplies, was a big help on the move day. We were packed and ready for the movers, and had an easy, surprise free move. Well, no bad surprises anyway. There were nice ones: they gave me an arrival window of 8:000-10:00am, and arrived on 8:05. That was a good start and I was glad the afternoon kept going in that direction. Google the address 1949 S Norfolk St, San Mateo, CA 94403 & you will find it is a storage company called ""Budget Mini-Storage"" I called & they said they have not affiliation with Moving Services of America. Also, if you call the Department of Transportation (DOT) hotline at 1-888-368-7238 you will find that Moving Services of America is not licensed! They WERE a licensed company (DOT #1462677) operating under the name Allstate Relocation Van Lines and had THEIR LICENSE REVOKED in April of 2011. This company is super shady! They post fake positive reviews (notice that EVERY review has 5 stars, and many reviews are recycled) to try to bring in unsuspecting customers. If you do a google search on this company you will find they have multiple locations, but each location is just another storage company that has never heard of them. This company ripped my husband and I off, they delivered our stuff a month late, boxes were missing, and they lied to us about how much our belongings weighed. I didnt know they were so shady until it was too late because believed these fake reviews!! Please Protect yourself! Do your homework and check on their DOT#. more

Moving Services of America made my move very easy when they moved me from a large apt to a house. They arrived about 10 min early for my 8am move. Had my boxes and furniture packed in a very short time. At the new house I was concerned about protecting the wood floors and the guys went out of their way to make sure nothing was scratched. They brought the furniture in and set it down so I could put felt feet on items and then placed it in the room for me. Moving Services of America even put the bed and dining table back together for me. If I need to move in the future I am calling Moving Services of America only! more

They performed a cross country move in a very short period of time, for an affordable price. I definitely recommend! more

That was a great surprise! I never though it would be such a smooth move to my new apartment. I was very excited about moving but was quite stressed. Flat rate managed to work around my schedule and changed the start time a few times until everything worked out between the buildings and my schedule. They even called the building and sent insurance (my building is very strict). I was impressed. I didn't have to worry about anything and that's how it should be. Great service!
