excellent veterinay care 3/10/2011

As a former rescue person and owner of many "leftover" cats and dogs I need to spread my vetcare dollars wisely. Although they are not "low cost" they are worthwhile every penny spent with them. Dr. Lecht has been wonderful with some of my more complex animals. She is the most caring and knowledgeable veterinarian that I have consulted. I recommend her highly and feel confident that my animals are getting the best care. Their follow up is outstanding - if only some of the other veterinarians and human medicine providers could be as caring, professional and down to earth in terms of advice and care. more

Compassionate Vet Care 4/24/2009

Under MPAH's care (since 1986) we've had a cat that lived to 21 years and now are on elderly dogs. I wish they took human patients as Dr. B and Gretchen and Tara (and can't remember all the names) are all exceptional care givers. They are thorough, strive for excellence, professional and when it comes to the end they are compassionate during the process. more

Wonderful Animal Hospital 11/5/2008

We recently had to put our 10 year old lab to sleep and it was one of the worst experiences but everyone at MPAH did their best to make it as easy as possible. We have been going to MPAH for many years and just couldn't imagine going anywhere else. Over the years we have visited other animal hospitals and its nice to go to one that doesn't smell like an animal hospital as soon as you open the door! Everyone is very friendly and helpful. We couldn't say more good about them!!! more

Excellance beyond belief 10/13/2008

We have been going to MPAH for many years and would go no where else. We adopted a Shar-pei named Rocky who soon after coming to us was found do have a defective palate and nasal deformity. Dr. B was quick to refer us to UGA Animal Center where Rocks had surgery. He has been excellent since. Dr. B was quick to realize that Rocky was in trouble and the care he needed was beyond the MPAH's ability to handle. If you want the best in care, this is where you need to bring your pets. The staff, especially Cathy, will treat you pet as if her very own- nothing but TLC. more

Our kitties LOVE Dr. Leck!! 9/20/2008

Working in the cat adoption/rescue arena, I've worked with many vets over the years. None of them can hold a candle to Dr. Leck! In fact, I and the other foster volunteers appreciate her skills and compassionate care so much, we drive 50 miles out of our way to bring our cats to see her! No matter what symptoms they present with, Dr. Leck always seems to know exactly what's wrong with her patients and what to do to make them (and us) feel better. Working with our rescue group, Dr. Leck has treated hundreds of our cats and probably seen more cat illnesses and conditions in the last 8 years than most other vets will see in a lifetime. She's also a big believer in prescribing adequate pain management drugs - everything from torbutrol to Fentanyl patches - depending on the procedure performed. She's not afraid to try new approaches to treating ailments and is always honing her skills to stay up-to-the-minute with the newest research and attends continuing ed seminars often. We've brought h more

Pet Care Doesn't Get Any Better Tan This!!!! 9/1/2008

II have been a client of Mountain Park Animal Hospital for quite some time now. I have been a devoted client of Dr. Susan Leck for more than 10 years. The staff at Mountain Park Animal Hospital is outstanding. If only the staff at my physicians office could be as caring, capable, loving and knowledgeable as the staff at Mountain Park.During the course of the past 10 years my pets/family have presented Dr.Leck with some serious challenges. We've experienced immune system problems, cancer, ASTHMA, liver and kidney issues and lots ofother things. Her curiosity has her cnstantly researching and attending continuing education courses to ensure that her skills are the best. She hase even cared for some of my exotic pets (birds, ginea pigs, rats, etc).I can't imagine taking any of my beloved family amywhere elee to Dr. Leck at Mountain OPatk Animal Hospital in Lilburn! more

Completely misdiagnosed my cat 8/24/2008

If there is nothing wrong with your cat, or it only needs routing care (shots, teeth cleaning) than this place is fine, but if your cat has any kind of problem, or is in pain, don't take it here.\r \r They 100% misdiagnosed my cat and didn't care that he was hurting. I don't think they are very knowledgeable about cats, his actual medical problem was quickly diagnosed by another clinic, and even I was able to determine it by Googling his symptoms.\r \r My 2 year old cat had severe tartar, gum irritation, and was yelping in pain. Mtn. Park cleaned his teeth, noted the tartar and gum irritation and said it was probably only a food allergy, and proceeded to charge me $40 for a bag of special food. They didn't prescribe antibiotics and they wanted to wait a month before they'd see him again. My cat was still yelping in pain a week later, so I took him to another vet who took the time to examine him and his dental photos and diagnosed the problem as not an allergy to food, but as an allerg more

The Staff is sooooo caring 7/29/2008

Let me tell a story about a young Abyssinian cat that escaped from her warm safe home one day. Her owners looked everywhere for her but to no avail. Little did they know that their pet, Amber, had a near death catastrophe with a car on a very fast street. She was left blinded by the dirt, debris and blood covering her face and body. A kind and gentle man drove around the corner and saw this pitiful cat struggling for life. He picked her up and drove her to MPAH where Dr. Nancy took her in, cleaned her up and gave her antibiotics and lots of love. When Amber was well enough to go home, Dr. Nancy went out searching for signs in the area where she was found by the kind stranger. Dr. Nancy spied a "Lost Cat" sign and went to the address on the sign. Dr. Nancy found Amber's home and reunited the lost cat back with it's family. Amber did loose her left eye, but she does just fine with only one. She continues to give us joy and love each day. \r We will always use MPAH for all of our pet's more

Best care in the business 10/27/2005

My female lab/ shep mix had a bump on her foot. I was told at another vet she needed surgery. I took her here and they didn't have to do any surgery and she is good as new. They are all very kind. This is important to anyone who thinks their pets are their kids. more
