decent course...met some real good people...the instructor on the weekend...Larry...was awesome...he told us what to expect, and took the time to answer any questions.....this was the weekend course, he gives you all the information you need and then some ...with the emphasis on safety, pay attention, and don't be late...I have over 30 years experience riding, I learned some better riding and safety techniques....the ladys that worked there..(sorry I am horrible with names) .even took time to make us lunch on Sunday...thank you....great course... more

I am NOT satisfied with this school! If you are a good driver and you expect nothing from driving course you can go, but if you want to get some knowledge it is wrong place. I don't know about all, my instructor was unprofessional rude. It is a place where you just lose your money. more

CATHY the CROOK 6/23/2011

I'm a DoD contractor for the U.S. Military and when I had a legitimate reason for missing my class, I basically begged Cathy whatever the F*** her last name is to allow me to reschedule but she was not phazed by my situation! She directly told that she didn't care because she got her money!! I came up with several ways to retake the class without having to pay again but she rejected all ideas. All she wanted was more money! Completely rude on the phone and she should not be a business owner. What a B****!!!! Only reason I went there was because i was referred there from the Lackland AFB motorcycle training instructor which just happened to work there. I should have read these reviews prior to giving them my money! more

THE WORST SCHOOL EVER 4/5/2011

The Motorcycle School of San Antonio on Fredericksburg Rd is the worst school ever Cathy Bochat the owner /Instructor is a deceiver, fraudster , swindler, con artist , liar and very rude. Cathy Bochat should have her license suspended until they investigate how she is running her classes. I wish everyone who has had a bad experience with Cathy Bochat contact the Texas Department of Public Safety and complain. She will tell you all the good things about her school and how they will teach you everything you need to know about riding a motorcycle and will give you hands on information and help you if needed during the handbook class and the actual riding class. That?s a BIG FAT LIE she will tell you whatever you need to hear until she get your money. Cathy Bochat states she has 16 employees but during her class of riding time it?s one person for every 8 to 10 people and the class is only 15 to 18 people per class that?s split up into two groups, one for sport bikes and the other little 250cc Harley. Cathy Bochat don?t have time nor the patients to teach a new rider so when you go to her basic class you better have some riding experience if not she will fail you. Cathy Bochat will tell you as soon as her class starts that she is not here to hold your hand you need to watch a movie clip read several paragraphs out of the hand book and answer several questions in 15min. Cathy Bochat will tell you your teacher is yourself and your class mates. This is not what I or anyone else paid for but that?s what you get from The Motorcycle School of San Antonio. more

Best time I've had in years 1/12/2011

I have always dreamed of riding a motorcycle and now my dream has come true! The teachers at The Motorcycle School are knowledgeable, patient, and very funny. I was so scared and they made me laugh and forget everything except what they wanted me to learn in that lesson. Each skill is taught from basic to advanced. We learned to handle the clutch and throttle with our feet on the ground, before we got to ride. Then as we began to get the riding part, they taught us many different skills so we would be the best of riders. After we graduated they told us to be sure and use our practice guides in a parking lot with our new motorcycles. Practice until we are comfortable on our new motorcycle before we take to the streets. I'm so excited! Thank you Motorcycle School!! more

I will never give them my money again!! 8/27/2010

I wish there was a 0 star rating. That's what I would give the San Antonio Motorcycle School...a zero! more

EXCELLENT Customer Service 8/17/2010

Regina was helpful and informative while helping me sign up for the course. Our course material was accurate, helpful and complete. We had two excellent instructors Robert and Popeye, for our class of 8 students. The experience levels for the students ranged from some who had never ridden a motorcycle to one who had ten years of dirt riding experience. All eight of the bikes we rode were lined up and running, and waiting for us when we arrived at the riding range. They all performed flawlessly throughout the course. All of the students successfully passed the written test and the final riding evaluation, which was administered by both instructors as well as the owner of the school. more

Liars, Rude, Insulting and con artists 4/2/2010

The Motorcycle School San Antonio has THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE that I've ever worked with!! The Motorcycle School San Antonio also LIE so that you sign up for their motorcycle operators courses (MSF, Motorcycle Safety Foundation, Beginning Riders Course) so that when you try to cancel, they screw you out of $35! Pros: Wide array of courses...although overpriced Cons: Owner's attitude, customer service, communication, attitude, more

Once you are gone...They dont care 7/2/2009

After moving due to the military, I lost my MSF card. I called my instructor who has since moved and they contacted the owner. Appearently the computer that had all the data crashed. So there is no way to get the information the easy way. Pros: Fab instructors Cons: Owner & current staff not willing to assist more

I Highly Recommend The Motorcycle School in San Antonio 7/31/2008

I just completed my class and I found the owner and instructors of top quality and highly supportive of their students. I had the opportunity to view some instruction at a MSF site near their headquarters in Southern California and the instruction here was as close as it comes to what occurs near their headquarters. I made a few mistakes and one ""big"" mistake during my training, but the coach I had was positive and helpful and it made all the difference. Pros: 1) Professional, caring and supportive staff. (2) Multiple types of equipment to learn your skills, including motor scooters. (3) Flexible times, including a site in Victoria, Texas Cons: (1) Per MSF standards the students' progress is determined by schedule and not skills mastery. (2) Students lie about their prior experience with motorcycles. more

Good Training 7/28/2008

Good instructors, and thorough. I would recommend this course to anyone that has a motorcycle that hasn't been. There is always something to take away. This establishment had great instructors, and a fast paced curriculum. The instructors were knowledgable, helpful, and patient. The facility itself, while dated in design, where adequate to accomplish the task. Pros: Great Instructors/Great Curriculum Cons: No variety of bikes, those available mediocre more

con artists 4/24/2008

what a scam! They just wanted our money, they rushed through everything and didn't give us enough time to practice. We got our license, though, because they lady didn't make us test. Pros: we got through it Cons: we wanted to learn how to ride and we didn't more

Very thorough instructors. 12/23/2007

In the amount of time you have to learn to ride a bike the instructors are very helpful. The information you take away with you is useful. Don't go out before taking this class you will be out in the heat. Pros: Had brand new bikes to learn from. Cons: This is a class be prepared to spend 8 hours on the track and 8 in the classroom. more
